| my friend and I took the tour thinking it would be just going from cafe to cafe however, it turned out to be much more... we walked through a wicker park neighbourhood where our tour guide Kent (i think) pointed out different houses and the history behind them, it was really fascinating..... he was very knowledgeable and fun, a true master working with people...he knew how to move us along without us feeling rushed... the cafes were ready for us, we had reserved tables everywhere we went so we could just sit and enjoy the food and surroundings... without a doubt we will book another tour with your company the next time we're in Chicago which may be in the spring Sue and Janice | ||||||

| My best frind and I did this for our birthdays. We had a great time on this walking tour. It was educational and interactive all in one. Our guide had so much knowledge of the area. By the time the tour was over we were full from all the sampling at the different stores. After the tour was over we walked back to some of the stores and did some shopping and used the coupons that the tour guide gave us. I would highly recommend this tour!!!!! | ||||||

| Going on this tour exceeded my expectations from Jen our tour guide who kept things going at a nice pace, answered our questions and gave us great information on neighborhoods we would not normally see. The food stops were marvelous and we picked up some great information not only on foods and spices and beverages but also on the neighborhoods we were in. This a great tour to take and walk along and try out different foods but the group we were with was just awesome and we made some new friends. We all agree we can not wait to go back and take the other food tour. | ||||||

| The 4 of us were the only people from IL on the tour of 13. We are real foodies! Loved every bit of the food, walk and history of Chicago. Out guide Kent was awesome. | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this food tour to foodies and non foodies alike! We loved the variety of stops and the interesting people we met. Our guide Nicki was fantastic, friendly and chock full of relevant facts. I learned so much about tea, spices and oils and we went back shopping to all the establishments on this tour for shopping. Also loved the walking aspect of the tour-also great to end the tour at a pizza place where there was a bar for afterwards! | ||||||

| If you are a "foodie" , know one, or just like to eat good food this is a tour sure to please. Tour not only full of food information, tastings, but lot's of other interesting neighborhood facts and gossip. We had to cancel our dinner reservations after the tour we were too full! I can't wait to bring more friends to Chicago and do the tour. | ||||||

| I can't rave enough about this wonderful tour. Our leader was Jen and she was absolutely fantastic - from her knowledge of all the sights along the way to how she kept our group of 17 women together and moving from place to place. Her enthusiasm and naturally engaging way made this tour for us. I loved all the stops and particularly liked that we weren't eating heavy food at each stop. Some were just herbs and spices or olive oils and vinegars. The only stop that I felt could have been eliminated was the Catering/Chocolate location. We really didn't learn anything there and the samples of cheese and hummus was pretty average - nothing I haven't had before. One recommendation would be to incorporate a wine tasting into the tour - a few other people in our group agreed with this suggestion too. the last stop where we had the spinach stuffed pizza was delicious and gave us a nice opportunity to sit and eat and relax after all that walking. I highly recommend this tour for tourists and locals alike. Can't wait until I am back in Chicago as I plan to take the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour next! | ||||||

| Twelve of us with a variety of backgrounds and interests without exception said this was the highlight of our two day visit to Chicago. Most of us like to cook, all of us like to eat but we were impressed with the details of the family run businesses, the neighborhoods, architecture and history. Our guide Jen was so much fun and quickly related to our enthusiasim. | ||||||

| This was a wonderful way to spend a day with a friend. It would make a perfect gift - spending several hours walking, learning eating, etc. Food was fun - great diversity, extemely well thought out and planned. No "down" time. | ||||||

| My friend and I were just searching the internet for something to do in Chicago. We are locals and were looking for something different. We came across this tour and decided to take it. What a great find! It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It had a little bit of everything--food, history, coupons for shopping later at the family owned stores and great conversation between the group of people who never met before. The price is so reasonable. Jen is the ultimate tour guide. I highly recommend this to anybody--Chicagoans, suburbanites and tourists. We will be taking other friends and family and going on the tour again. | ||||||

| enjoyed all the stops except the chocolate catering-we were to be engaged with Hummus and crackers??????-not sure why they are on the tour-All others were interesting and enjoyed their offerings.......also enjoyed the architectural part of the tour-informative and nice breaks to the walking.....good group-good mix of townies and several Londoners.....melissa at the tea store was exceptional-thank nicky-made our day! | ||||||

| I have raved nonstop about this tour since we took it. Jessie, our guide, was knowledgeable and personable. She did an excellent job. Obviously the food was a highlight, but we also enjoyed learning more about Chicago's history and architecture. We particularly appreciated the opportunity to meander through some of the neighborhoods and get a more intimate experience of the city. I found myself taking pictures like crazy and making plans to retrace my steps to grab some shots I missed. The merchants at the various stops were extremely helpful and patient. Nearly everyone in our group thought the oil shop was a favorite, and the staff gave us great suggestions for oil/vinegar combinations to try. I also appreciated learning about the teas and spices. And who didn’t love the huge slabs of chocolate-covered toffee? Because of scheduling issues, we had to leave as soon as the tour was done. This was a big disappointment because we wanted to purchase items from the stores and restaurants we visited. Fortunately, we are planning another trip to Chicago next month, and we will make a beeline for these merchants. Family and friends will be thrilled to find unique and tasty gifts from us this holiday season. We are from Michigan and we went on this tour with friends from Nebraska. We plan on making a trip to meet in Chicago an annual tradition, and a Chicago Food Planet tour will definitely be on our itinerary. | ||||||
