| My wife and I have taken many guided tours in Chicago, and this is now our favorite. Our Hostess, Kate, was fantastic. She is a font of information on the various neighborhoods through which we walked. The variety of the shops made for lots of interesting conversation. The final stop for a slice of "healthy" stuffed pizza -- Heaven on a Plate!!! -- was definitely worth the wait. We went back to four of the shops in the next couple of days before coming home. The tour was just enough to pique our interest in the tea, oil and spice shops, so we had to go back to purchase "supplies" for the next few months. Kate, and the "Food Tasting Tour," is certainly three hours well-spent. | ||||||

| This was a really nice tour, taking us through some of Chicago's nicest neighborhoods, and exposing us to architecture, history, and often little-known but really cool food places. The guide was really enthusiastic, the food samples were great, and some of the stops on the tour were unknown to the Chicagoans in our group, but were neat places that all of us enjoyed. The samples were great, and I think the tour is a great way to spend 3+ hours in Chicago! | ||||||

| By the looks of some of the pictures online, I thought this would be a tour for old people, but it was not at all. But as a person who just moved to Chicago, you get a chance to walk through the streets of a few great neighborhoods and learn about them. You check out 8 great places for some great food. You might want to check the weather and wait to see if it's nice out before you buy tickets ($40 each). But I highly recommend this tour, it's a bit different than most tours, but fantastic! | ||||||

| It's hard to tell friends, "Yeah, we walked a couple miles, stopped for tastings and several local businesses, and learned a little history along the way" without their eyes glossing over and them wondering why you blew your money on something so boring. The reality, though, is just the opposite. The tour was the highlight of our day, and we still can't stop talking about the things we saw and did. Our guide was excellent, the shops were delightful, and the day was extraordinarily well-spent. We'd do it again in a heartbeat. | ||||||

| My husband and I had a wonderful time... The food choices were great, we had a good group of indiviudals on the tour as well... Everyone enjoyed the time together. suggestion - Have a 4th location, be a local bar (piano, karoke) and end the night with a night cap with the group... those that want to continue can, those that don't can depart to other activities...Just a suggestion. | ||||||

| I have lived in Chicago for two years now and have not had much of a chance to explore much of the areas we toured. But now I have learned so much about local businesses, their history (as well as the history of the neighborhoods), and the bonus were the tastings. There was plenty to eat! I especially loved the sweeter foods. Delicious! Now that I know where everything is, and have tasted it before, I know I will not be disappointed when I go back! Hopefully there will be more tours like these to explore other neighborhoods in Chicago. My cousin loved the event as well and even bought a lot of items from the last establishment that we visited. | ||||||

| Enjoyed every aspect especially the independent merchants and the quality of their products and samples. The knowledge of the guide was extensive and we found that the tour is true to being off the beaten path. Therefore we felt that we had a taste of Chicago that was authentically neighbourhood based. The walking was also a pleasure and fortunately we were not out on an extremely hot day. | ||||||

| Kent was a great tour guide. Humorous, informative and patient with a challenging group. (We were joined by a group of dependent adults.) He handled a couple of problems that cropped up with aplomb. If I may suggest, it would perhaps be better to have disabled groups tour privately to accommodate them better. As a caregiver, I always appreciate having extra time. My elderly mother, 10-year-old son and myself enjoyed ourselves immensely. Only wish we'd been staying closer to that neighborhood so we could have taken advantage of the coupons and our new found knowledge. Kimi | ||||||

| Our leader, Kate, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She showed us many of the landmarks that we would have seen on a strict sightseeing tour. I especially enjoyed the pizza place and the oil and vinegar store. We loved the guy from the pizza restaurant. He was so very entertaining. We came home to Louisiana and ordered tea and oil and vinegar and will order from the spice store as well. It would have been nice, at the end of the tour, to have an order form for the items we saw in the stores and, for a fee, could have them delivered to our hotel or home. People would have been much more likely to purchase. | ||||||
