| I can say, without any doubt, this was the highlight of our stay in Chicago. We had an extraordinarily friendly tour guide (who was also very good with the four-year-old that was travelling with us), got to sight-see in many picturesque areas, and, of course, indulge in fantastic food. As well as enjoying the tour, you also receive excellent suggestions on future dining. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and book now! | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this tour. Not only do you visit many foody places, but you tour several different neighborhoods. The food is plentiful and places are all different. Our tour took 3 1/2 hours so be prepared for walking and listening to the history of Chicago and food. | ||||||

| We had a great tour guide, very informative and friendly. But 3 hours is a little too long. I would recommend shortening it to 2 hours to maintain everyone's interest. The food samples were NOT very good... except for the chocolate samples. | ||||||

| We found some great new shops that we will visit again on our next trip to Chicago. There was a nice mix of history, folklore, and architectural "tastings" along with the yummy food tastings. There was enough food for the ladies to call it lunch but definitely not enough for the guys or kids. | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Chicago area as well as for those living there. We returned to three of the 8 places to purchase items the next day. Our tour guide was very friendly and upbeat and very informed. I have already told several friends/relatives that the Food Tour is a must on their next visit to Chicago. | ||||||

| The draw in the ad is the food, but our guide, Nicky, delivered a fun, fact=filled day. Our tour was more like 4 hours, so plan accordingly if you have plans after. The walking was broken up, but much more than 2-3 miles. I have a bad ankle, but was fine - it was the walk home which hurt. My fault, Nicky showed us transportation, but we wanted to go back and shop at a few shops we were introduced to. Just remember, as tempting as the olive oil is, it will be hard to get it back home by plane!! They have a web-site. Enjoy | ||||||

| My daughter and I were in Chicago for a family wedding. I was raised in Chicago and now live in California, She was raised in California and now lives in Texas. I organized this tour for 5 people including my mother, sister and niece. I can say we all thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food tastings were great. Who doesn't like chocolate and pizza? Our guide ,Shane was informative, enthusiastic and oh, I should mention good looking. We would all take another tour with this company. | ||||||

| My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food tasting and walking tour. Our group was a cross section of the US and some folks from Wales. A casual and informative tour accompanied by some great samplings of foods and sweets (although it was a bit skewed toward the chocolates!) Learning about restaurant options along the way was an added touch and our tour host managed to do it without making it sound like advertising! We would recommend this to anyone as an interesting and different way to experience part of the culture of Chicago. | ||||||

| We enjoyed the neighborhood tour with descriptions of architecture styles. We never would have visited these areas on our own. The food was less in quantity than we expected, but quality was good. Best stop for us, the Spice Shop. We recommend this tour. | ||||||

| This tour was a great way to learn about some of Chicago's neighborhoods while tasting our way through them. Shane (?sp) our tour guide was great at pointing out historical landmarks as we made our way from the Magnificent Mile to the Gold Coast, Old Town and then Lincoln Park. The food stops were generally places we wouldn't have found on our own -- from tea, to spices, to bread and chocolate -- not your usual tourist attractions. Breadsmith and The Spice House were well worth the tour. We needed more time at The Fudge Pot to shop, and ethel's Chocolate was a bit too pretentious for us. A cheese stop would have rounded out the tour nicely. Overall, we would highly recommend this to tourists who like to walk and eat. | ||||||

| The was a wonderful experience to leisurely walk around the neighborhoods and taste some awesome, delicious foods and learn some history of the area. The i cream and hot chocolate, the pizza, the wraps well just all of the stops were a taste treat. Will do it again when friends come to visit. What a fun way to spend 3 hours out of your day in touring and tasting in Chicago neighborhoods. | ||||||

| One of the most interesting and fascinating experiences. Our guide, Nicky, made us feel as if we were on a private tour with her. Her comments about the history of the neighborhoods we visited were informative and enjoyable. We've lived in the Greater Chicago area (Vernon Hills) for 11 years but were unaware of the sites we visited. We plan to recommend the tour to allof our out-of-town visitors. We have already recommended it to our neighbors and local friends. | ||||||

Girls' Weekend Away

| Every year my five daughters and I do a "girls weekend away." We did one in Chicago last year and took in a lot of fun places and restaurants. This was a weekend away for me with just my youngest daughter (30 yrs. old) and I. We wanted to do something fun other than the usual shopping and things we had done before. I found out about this activity by searching online for "things to do in Chicago." We love trying new things and love to eat at unusual places. One of my grandsons is an architect in New York and we loved seeing homes and other buildings designed by one of his favorite architects - Frank Lloyd Wright., along with all the other interesting homes and buildings. This was everything we had hoped for and we can't wait to go back to spend time in Old Town again. The young woman who led the tour was very knowledgable and fun. We enjoyed her very much! | ||||||
