| I had a wonderful time on the tour. The easy way to put this is, there was a middle aged woman of about 50 or so who said at the end of the tour, "I have lived in Chicago all my life and I have never been to any of these wonderful places." If you can show local people things they had never seen, I know I was getting a treat. As a side note i felt the tour guide Kent was a very wonderful and well informed gentlmen. I am a man who love food, but I really think he made the tour for me. | ||||||

| I was visiting my brother and cousin in Chicago for the first time, and we thought to do the Chicago Food Tours to kill some time on a Sunday afternoon. I was there for the weekend and the food tours was by far the most exciting and best event for the weekend. Not only was it a food tour, but we also got a historical tour of the city and did a little walking through Gold Coast, Old Town, and Lincoln Park. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend it for visitors as well as natives of the city. It is a MUST DO EVENT! Very cheap and affordable too. | ||||||

| This food tour took us out of the downtown hustle and bustle and into the quaint neighborhoods of Chicago that you normally wouldn't know how to access or where to go. I absolutely loved that we went to local shops and restaurants and experienced the 'non-commercial' part of Chicago. Everyone was so nice at the shops and the guide was terriffic! After the tour, we went back to many of the shops and made purchases. It was quite a trek, but would definitely do it again! What a grand concept and everyone benefits! | ||||||

| The best part of the tour was our guide, Carolyn. She shared a lot of architectural information along the way, which helped our long walk go by faster. I would not recommend the catering and chocolate place, though. And I wish there were more stops on the way from the oil stop to the pizza stop, too long! | ||||||

| Shane was a great tour guide. Learned alot of interesting facts about Chicago and got to see areas we wouldn't have otherwise. Our group had a native Chicagon(?), who said she had a great time and learned alot. the tour would have been great with or without the food.....The food added a little something extra, but I am not sure it would have been terribly missed. I will definately look for something like this in any city I visit in the future. It is a great way to see the sights, and learn something along the way. | ||||||

| I fly to Chicago regularly (every 3-6 months) and have done all the museums over and over. So this last trip I came across this tour on-line and wound up having a great time!! I was lucky to be in a small tour group and found the intimacy a great advantage. I would highly recommend this to do with friends looking to try something cool and trendy!! | ||||||

| I have visited Chicago many times in the past. I learned more about Chicago and some of its neighborhoods on this tour than I have on all my trips to the area combined. Our tour guide Arianna, was energetic, articulate and very knowledgeable. She made the trip enjoyable and interesting. I love the combination of food, exercise and information - it made for a very enjoyable day. | ||||||

| Enjoyed the tour and the walking pace was perfect to site see but keep moving. The Spice store with the presentation from Michael Erb was excellent. Did not care for the pizza. Know it was suppose to be the"best" but truthfully have had better. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. | ||||||

| This was a great way to truly experience some of the local culture Chicago has to offer. Living in the area I learned new things and experienced places off the beaten path we normally travel. Highly recommend this to both visitors and locals. | ||||||

| I did a Zerve food tour in NYC earlier in the summer and loved it. When I booked my trip for Chicago, I immediately searched to see if they offered food tours in this city as well. I went on the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour with extremely high expectations. Not only did this tour fullfill my expectations, but it also exceeded them. I loved all 6 of the food tastings, especially iCream. I also really enjoyed how it wasn't all back-to-back, but also included the walking tour of the area with information about the transformation, local opinions and the historic houses. It's a great way to pace yourself with all of the food and walk off some of those empty calories (since when you are on vacation, calories don't exist). My boyfriend and I went on the tour with our friend who lives in Chicago. He was skeptical since he knows the area well, but he enjoyed it just as much as we did. I would recommend for any tourist or local to do the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour. And if you have Carrie as your guide, she is excellent! | ||||||

| My husband and I are former Suburban Chicagoans, now living in Virginia, visiting my mother in a nursing home. We really enjoyed this unique tour. We saw parts of Chicago that we have not enjoyed before. We learned much. And, of course, we enjoyed tasty samples. We learned about, blintzes, teas, oils, vinegars, spices, chocolates, and spinach pizza. It was a lively quick paced tour. That's a good thing. A great walk on a beautiful day! We had a great time! I emailed some of the sites offering coupons. TeaGschwendner, The Spice House, and Old Town Oil say they will honor their coupons. Ethel's chocolate lounge will not. The Fudge Pot website was down. | The tour leader was very knowledgeable about the entire tour and was able to answer all questions. The food samples, while small in proportion, were enough to fill me up for lunch. Great tour of the city. | ||||||

| I highly recommend this tour. My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much. The guide, Niki, was up beat, energetic and very knowledgeable about all the neighborhoods. She did an excellent job of interacting with everyone and keeping the tour interesting. I am looking forward to going back to some of the places we visited. | ||||||

| The tour is such fun and very entertaining as well as informative. Kent, the tour guide had me wishing I was a Chicago native so I could return to these great restaurants where we had been, and also to the extra places that were pointed out along the way. I've got great suggestions for all my friends traveling there as well as my daughter and all of her buds from Northwestern. I had taken the original Chicago food tour in May and was thrilled with it, so much that I was going to do it again and take my husband so he could experience it. The Wicker Park tour is fairly new but definitely highlights the best of what the neighborhood is all about. I'd highly recommend it. It poured rain for over half of our tour and we still had a blast!! | ||||||
