| We had a great tour guide in Arianna, who took us to a Jewish deli for reuben sandwiches, a tea shop (where we learned all about antioxidants and how tea compares to coffee, and had free and delicious mango iced tea), a spice store where all of the hundreds of spices are ground fresh, an olive oil & balsamic vinegar store (with many free samples of each), a chocolate shop, and a famous stuffed pizza place. Along the way she explained the neighborhoods, their history, specific houses and special parks. She also recommended great Chicago restaurants to visit after the tour, which we did. She was very personable and we all had a great time. Highly recommend it! | ||||||

| This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. The restaurants and shops were great finds, and everyone in our group had different favorites--that tells you how good they all were! My favorite was the tea place and the oil and vinegar shop--which I never would have predicted. Who knew sipping balsamic vinegar could be so delicious? Our guide was fun and engaging and kept us entertained as we walked through the north end of Chicago. I agree with some of the other posters--do this early enough in your trip so you can return and shop/eat at some of the places you visit. | ||||||

| I basically expected this to be a long, hot hike to taste some pizza and hot dogs in the city, but it was absolutely fabulous! I went with my mother and a friend of hers, both visiting from the east coast, and we've been talking about how great of an idea it was to go on this tour ever since. Not only do you actually get some history and see some off-the-beaten-path locations (Florsheim mansion, playboy mansion, oz park) but you also get to taste local business items that you would never think to seek out otherwise. This really was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and we will certainly be buying tickets to the Wicker Park tour when they come back in the Fall. I forget our guide's name, but she was patient, funny, energetic and knowledgable......she never made us feel like we were being taught something but more like she was excited to share with us. Thank you! It was great! | ||||||

| We loved the walking tour! It was well worth the price to be able to find places that we would never have known about. And the stuffed pizza at the end was excellent. We will be coming back to Chicago next year and plan on doing the other tour. Thank you for a wonderful experience. | ||||||

| Pros: Excellent guide. Loved the neighborhood information, the architectural knowledge, food descriptions and history. Great variety of food tastings. Cons: don't feel it was a very moderate walking pace, more of a quick pace. Quite strenuous for my 77 year old Mother who I feel is in pretty good shape. | ||||||

| It was a great way to start our vacation. Got to see many landmarks and taste the great foods of Chicago. Ended up going back to buy Tea from one of the stores and also eat at the Deli. The walk combined with food stops helps keep teens entertained, which is always a struggle! | ||||||

| I normally consider myself a pretty frugal person, and I only bought tickets to this as a gift to someone. After experiencing the 3 hour tour, I am happy to say that it was money well spent! My entire group of friends enjoyed everything - the history, the culture, the food. Truly it was a great time, even though it was 100 degrees outside! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food, Wicker Park & Bucktown! | ||||||

| I went on the Near North tour about a year ago and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to check out the Bucktown/Wicker park tour as well. The major difference in the two tours besides the location is the amount of food that you will get. All I can say is for this tour come hungry!!! I really enjoyed all of the places that we went and I know that I will be using my coupons very soon, especially at Hot Chocolate! Our tour guide was really great. Very enthusiastic with a real love for the area. I think anyone from Chicago as well as out-of-towners will really enjoy this tour. It gives you a change to experience a neighborhood of Chicago that you otherwise may skip over. And it's a nice change for the usual tourist spot of Michigan Ave. | ||||||

| My Inlaws were visiting from out-of-town and I was looking for something different to do. I found the Food Tour on Google and it completely surpassed my expectations! Our guide was awesome and made it so much fun, and the places we visited were all different and delicious. It was a really fun way to spend the afternoon and I got to know the area alot better. We will absolutley be going back to some of the places on the tour, as well as some neighborhood recommendations by our guide. I would absolutely recommend this activity if you enjoy food and are looking for somethign different and entertaining to do- Chicago local or out of town visitor! We are planning on doing the Old Town tour next time! | ||||||

| I had no idea what this tour would entail upon signing up to celebrate my birthday with my children. This sounded like something different! I was most pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone...from in or out of town. We learned so much thanks to our informed guide, Ariana. She was wonderful, so enthusiastic and attentive. I loved all the food we tasted (in large quantities) and the nonfood places where places I passed many times and never went in. They were all places I would go back to now again and again. I have told so many of my friends already, and ask for Ariana - | ||||||

| I live in the neighborhood and although I have walked by all of the places that we stopped several times I had never been into four out of the six establishments. I definitely plan on returning to all of the places that we visited. I also learned a lot more about the history and architecture of the neighborhood. Ben was a great guide, he was informative and entertaining. I would recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in tasting some great food and learning about a very interesting neighborhood in Chicago. | ||||||

| We had a very leisurely and casual stroll around neighborhood streets with our guide Kent providing fun and interesting facts . The food was appetizing and filling, maybe even a little too filling. Be sure to eat breakfast early so you'll you'll have room. With that said, I must comment on the fact that at $44 pp, I think it's a bit high. Maybe cut that back $5? Still, a great tour and I got some nice pictures of some period houses along the way. | ||||||

| My husband and I really enjoyed this tour! Our tour leader was very informative and fun to boot! We learned so much about the city, the neighborhoods, and food! Lots of details were provided about the places we visited, and demonstrations and valuable information about the foods we ate..how healthy they were and why, how it was made, and it all tasted great. I would recommend this tour to any adult able to walk....we went on the Near North tour and plan on signing up for the Wicker park tour next! Kate was Great!!! | ||||||
