Delightful visit

Food Tasting Tour of Bucktwon/Wicker Park is a perfect combinations of local specialties and neighborhood architecture. Three hours of modarate walking, eating and discovering hidden treasures of Chicago is a perfect way to get to know the city. Make sure you come on empty stomach! There was such good food during the tour that some people ended up with a doggy bag...

I was a bit hesitant to book a walking tour, as I am not a fast walker. Boy, am I glad I took a chance on this tour! It was fantastic! Rebecca was great! She was overflowing with knowledge about each and every stop on our tour. She paced us to keep it moving on schedule without making us feel rushed. I will definitely, absolutely, without a doubt, take another tour next time I am in Chicago, and will check each city that I visit to find out if tours are offered there. The places that you visit are places you would never stumble across on your own. They are real neighborhood businesses, with personality that will blow you away. Don't miss out. You will be so pleased with your excursion! One more thing: This is not, I repeat, not a buy-me tour. The businesses that you visit are all about educating you, not at all about a hard sell. You can't shop on the tour anyway, but you are provided with contact information (all but one stop has a website), so you can shop from home at your convenience if there's something you can't live without. I am so excited to visit Chicago again and see more of that great city, especially through the food tours. Now I have a map of where I went, so I can go back and visit those same stops at my leisure next time I am there.

A Great Way To See Chicago!

I absolutely had a wonderful time on this tour. We had a small group of six and a gorgeous October day. The walk was leisurely and informative. Our guide Chris was very knowledgeable and fun. We learned about Chicago history and the neighborhoods we walked through. The food! Loved every place we went. The pizza was excellent; the Reuben sandwich was delicious and the Spice Market, Oil Shop and Tea Store were fascinating. My favorite was the Polish bakery. The pierogies and pastries were the best. I went back afterwards and bought cookies to take home. They never made it to the plane. We ate them that night. I would highly recommend this tour for something different and fun. I would highly recommend Chris, also. A great way to see Chicago.

The last stop was too far away. It was a 30 minute walk and was too far for me. No walk should be more than 10-15 minutes. It was very discouraging. I had to drop out and therefore did not get my money's worth. Hillary was a great source of information.

It was a lovely fall day for a walk through Old Town and Lincoln Park. All of the stops were interesting and the samples were fantastic. I can't wait to do the two other tours in Chicago some time.

Interesting Mix of Businesses

The tour was interesting in that it had quite an unusual cross-section of businesses. The best was the store that sold nothing but balsamic vinegar and olive oils from around the world. The guide, Chris, made the three hours go by quickly as he was very enthusiastic and had interesting little stories all along the way.

over all I had a great experience, only slight criticism was that the guide did talk at a very fast tempo which sometimes was hard to follow

Wonderful experience. Would love to do another one of their tours when I go back to Chicago. And our tour guide, (Jess, I think was her name) was terrific! Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Enjoyed it very much. Walking was very brisk so may not be right for anyone with a cane or trouble keeping up. Guide was excellent.

Hillary, our guide, was knowledgeable, fun and lively. The variety and quality of places that we visited was excellent and the tastings were top-notch. I have recommended the tour to several co-workers who live in the Chicago area. I am from Jacksonville, FL and was here on business. This was an ideal for a woman travelling alone on such as myself. If I return, either alone or with my spouse, I will definitely take one of the other tours offered.

Amazing Tour!!!

I grew up in the suburbs, but then moved out of state for the last few years. It was amazing to come home for a visit and see a side of the city that I never got to experience before. We went on the tour to celebrate my best friends birthday and we had so much fun - it was a day to remember! It was educational and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We got to taste items from every store we stopped in and the portions were huge. I was expecting small tasting items, but ended up being thankful we had skipped breakfast that morning. Not only is this tour great for tourists but for locals alike! Make sure you leave time at the end of the tour to walk back to all the stores you liked so you can make your purchases with the coupons the tour guide issues you. We walked back with one of the ladies that we met on the tour and had a great time shopping and getting to know our new friend. All in all this tour is a must do for anyone visiting the city!!!! Thanks for such a great time!

I had so much fun on the food tour. We were able to taste lots of different foods, see some of the neighborhoods of Chicago and get lots of exercise walking. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip. Thank you so much! I am a Personal Chef in the Seattle area..I think I need to check into a food tour in Seattle.

Very interesting variety of shops and locations especially like the spice, tea and olive oil shops! Would like some more architecture but that is really a different tour.

Really interesting way to see the city. Guide was great and the tour definitely was about more than just food. We were given interesting snippets about the achitecture, the food.
