| We had an absolutely awesome time on the tour! Our tour guide was super nice and informative and I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of food we got to taste at each location. It was also really nice to get some information on the neighborhood and learn about the wide variety of architechtural styles. Definitely was one of the highlights of our weekend :-) | ||||||

| I decided to take my five college room mates who were all visiting from out of town on the tour last weekend. Everyone absolutely loved it. The food was great and the portions were huge. Additionally, our guide knew a lot about local restaurants and the area in general. This is probably the best thing I've done since moving to Chicago a year ago! | ||||||

| I highly and enthusiastically recommend the Near North Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour. This was a fun, entertaining, and educational experience. It was a great way to learn more about the history of Chicago, the different neighborhoods, and some of the unique retailers that we would not have otherwise happened upon. | ||||||

| There was too much rush to scaff down food too quickly. The walking was minimal and the culture part was really more architecture than culture. It would be best of food stops were more spread out. The entire culture part was completely forgettable and only mildly interesting. | ||||||

| Our journey began at a local hotdog establishment where we had first met the owner and namesake outside setting up the tables. Most of the people on the tour had never had a famous Chicago-style hotdog and were not completely sold on all of the ingredients initially. That changed in a few short bites with most people naming the hotdog as their most favorite stop at the conclusion of the tour. The tour took place on a beautiful day in June with several eclectic stops throughout the Bucktown / Wicker Park area. The whole time the enthusiastic guide--who was also a transplanted local--wove historic facts and his own passionate affection for the neighborhood as he pointed out area landmarks. The guide was a self-described member of the artistic class who had embraced the neighborhood during a time of economic down-turn but who were presently being threatened by the recent trendy new-comers who were opening the doors to a more corporate atmosphere. The "yuppies" were driving out the artisans with higher rent prices and more chain-like establishments. We learned all of this while sampling our first home-made marshmallow, local brews at a pizzeria and some Middle-Eastern fare. It was a lovely day, well-organized and lead by an engaging guide. | ||||||

| I took this tour with a friend on a recent visit to Chicago. We usually come to Chicago a couple times a year to shop downtown, but wanted to do something a little different on this trip. This tour was a wonderful opportunity to truly get a taste of a Chicago neighborhood from learning about the history, culture and architecture of Bucktown and Wicker Park while also being able to enjoy some of their wonderful restaurants and markets. Our tour guide, Kent. was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and attentive to those in our group. The food stops on the tour provided us with a nice variety of tastings and each was really good. Every stop, from the Chicago style hotdog at George's to the ice cream at i cream, was a real treat. The portions we received were generous and the staff at each stop were very welcoming to our group. We are planning to take the Mag Mile tour on our next visit to Chicago! | ||||||

| I did this tour the first time with a friend last fall. This time I brought my husband, son and daughter-in-law. They all loved the tour as much as I! I think they (especially the men) thought I was crazy to be so excited about the places we visited, sights we saw and the Chicago history that our tour guide shared. After the tour, they were just as excited and want to take more, similar tours. Suggestion to Zerve: It would be beneficial to give parking suggestions to your customers. We thought we'd found on-street parking a block away. Although we saw no signs saying that residential permits were required in that area, we were ticketed for parking there. A note in your pre-tour info about parking options would be helpful. | ||||||

| We took the Near North tour on our first morning in Chicago, so that gave us several days to go back and make purchases. This is definitely the way to learn about new places and neighborhoods. When we go back, we'll take the other tour. Jessie was our tour leader. She was fun and informative. | ||||||

| My mother and I went to Chicago together for a girl's weekend. My mom's friend recommended this tour and it was amazing! I had done something similar in New York City, but the Chicago tour was awesome! I really enjoyed the food and it was a wonderful day to walk around Old Town, etc., and learn about the architecture, too. I went to places I would never have known about and I can't wait to go back to do the other tour! Thanks, Jessie! You were a great tourguide! | ||||||

| Jessie was a fabulous tourguide through the Near North neighborhoods. We discovered foods and restaurants we would have missed unless we lived in the area. My husband and 12-year-old daughter also thought this was a fun way to spend the afternoon. I advise skipping the overhyped "Gino's East" deep dish pizza and having a stuffed slice at Bacino's with Jessie on the Near North tour! | ||||||

| Our tour took place on a rainy day but we still had plenty of fun. Our guide and group made the best of it. This tour allowed us to see neighborhoods that we would have never gone to on our own. It was fun to see where people live and not just the most touristy spots. All the food was delicious. I have used my oils I ordered at Old Town Oil and they are awesome! Thanks for everything. | ||||||

| My wife and I visited Chicago for the blues festival. Took a few hours to join this food & walking tour. We had a great time. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. Our guide was very knowledgable and very sweet ( also very pretty! ). We were not stuffed with food but were very impressed with the knowledge of the foods we were shown not only by our guide but also by the shop staff. Particularly re teas, spices and oils. Our guide also gave us a lot of info re the neighbourhoods we walked through which we felt gave a good insight into parts of Chicago you would not reach on your own. The tour is very good value ( especially compared to similar tours in London which are five times the price ). Pace is comfortable and met a nice group of people. I strongly recommend this tour! | ||||||

| My husband and I were'nt sure what to expect because we had never been on a food tour before, but we were pleasantly surprised!! It was so much fun we want to do it again some time. There was alot of food not just a "tasting", we were really full at the end. It was informative and fun and the food was great!! I have already recommended it to some friends at work who are traveling to Chicago this summer. Great tour!! Keep it up!! | ||||||
