Awesome Experience

| My Husband and I had an Awesome experience. It came recommendd to us from a friend who had recently participated and everything she said was true. The young lady who served as our tour guide was so informative. She knew everything there was to know about the areas, restaurants and even off beat questions that arose from attendees. She was very personable and genuine. The food was Awesome as well; so much so, that after the tour ended, we went back to Georges' for another meal. Every place we went offered more in its experience than just the food. Although my Husband is a native Chicagoan, he said if he'd never taken the tour he wouldn't even know that some of these places existed. It opened his eyes to so much even though he says he's probably driven or walked passed these establishments a hundred times. The walk itself was not overwhelming. It was as if we were strolling through our own neighborhood site seeing. After being exposed to so much history and culture I can consider myself a mini historian educated enough to tell others. | ||||||

| The whole activity was done wonderfully. The food stops were very interesting and varied. The walk was the right length. The tour guide was nice, informative and fun. The price was reasonable. I have been recommending it to people right and left since I went. I am very interested in trying some of your other tours based on this one. | ||||||

| We enjoyed the mix or history/architecture as well as the food. The restaurant choices were great and our guide, Kent, was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. We all bought our tickets separately but 11 of us were friends looking for more insight to our great city and this did the trick. Wonderful! | ||||||

| Highly suggest to bring or buy a beverage for the tour. Would have kille dfor the french fries wiwth the Dog. Way to chocolatey at chocolate, a waste for them. Pizza was good a abundant, Mediterranean was a bit rushed and too much food after where we had been. Always room for I Cream! that was great. Very informative, enthusiastic tour guide. | ||||||

| Nikki was our host/guide. She was friendly, enthusiastic, responsive AND remembered everyone's name throughout the tour. Lots of fun, educational, informative and GOOD FOOD. A real look at, and taste of, Chicago neighborhoods. We had tastes from great stores featuring freshly ground spices to incredible and exotic cooking oils, to wonderful imported teas, to handmade chocolates . . all in between the Reuben on rye from a Jewish deli and REAL Chicago pizza. YUM | ||||||

| My best friend and I celebrated a girls weekend in Chicago recently. With both of us having been to Chicago several times, we wanted to do something different. Our search brought us to the food tour and we were THRILLED with how wonderful the tour, food and our guide was. We both love to cook, smell, sample and EAT in our normal lives, so this brought out the best in our culinary world and created ideas and combinations we never would have otherwise sampled. Of our 3 days in Chicago - these 3 hours were the most memorable and well spent!! THANK YOU Sheri | ||||||

| Fantastic tour.. When Henry Ford was in business with Mr. Rockefeller he called MR. R and had a problem with the car line. MR. R flipped a few switches and fixed the problem. MR. R then sent a bill to MR. Ford a bill for $10,000.00. Mr. Ford called and questioned the amount. Mr. R said, OK I will resend the bill. He resent that bill... $1000 for his time to flip a couple of switches $9000 for knowing what switches to flip. Your tour was Fantastic because you know where to go and information about the local shops. ( What switches to flip) I have sent in orders to almost all the food shops and will recommend this tour to all my friends... Ketchup was a joke... no one laughed Dennis Boldt Owner/'Operator Delex Corp dba The Pasta House Co High Ridge MO | ||||||

| This tour is a great way to see Chicago off the beaten path. The stops in Old Town, especially The Fudge Pot, where the toffee is the best ever, now are must return locations. But the best part was Jen, our guide, who made the walk delightful and fun with her infectuous laugh and knowledge of all things Chicago. | ||||||

| nothing like going to food shops that are quaint, quality, and now a discovery to be revisited for that specialty food. the neighborhoods walk with the history and tidbits of the latest were educational and entertaining. I can't wait to do the other tour in Bucktown as I'm done the north one twice now. I bought tickets as birthday gifts to my 2 daughters and brother, what a special out of the ordinary gift and way to enjoy an afternoon with them. Your tours are great and conducted by excellent guides. | ||||||

| Our group of 11 (in town from Calgary, Canada to run the Chicago Marathon) was thrilled with our experience on this tour, which far exceeded any of our expectations. Our tour guide (Jenn) was warm, personable, knowledgeable and thorough as she walked us through the lovely streets of Chicago, regaling us with stories and folklore, history and architectural information, and even local gossip. The unique shops were fantastic and the tastings scrumptious – a food lover’s delight. What a truly wonderful way to spend a day and see a side of Chicago many tourists don’t bother to explore. We all retraced our steps at tour's end to buy from the independent, family-owned shops that we visited. This tour was a highlight of our trip – not to be missed! | ||||||

| Overall we enjoyed the tour. We had a great guide who was entertaining and informative. The walk thru the neighborhoods along with interesting and fun facts about the buildings and people was fun. I would have liked MORE places with food tasting. With that said the spice house was very interesting and the tasting at the olive oil shop was surprisingly good. Too bad there is not enough time to buy goodies. We were visiting from out of town and won't be back for awhile. Of course buying on line is an options but it is not the same. On the negative side I think the last place was too far from the start and there should be a place closer or looping back towards the start. Having to cab back was an added expense I would have liked to avoid. | ||||||
