I was disappointed in the tour. It was a lot of walking and not much eating. I thought we would be eating something at every place. One place was a spice place and you could taste the spices but to me that is not eating. There was an oil/vinegar place where we again got to taste but that is not eating. If we wanted anything to drink you had to purchase it along the way. We paid $42 for the tour and still had to go eat after because we were still hungry. There was also no time for a bathroom break until 2 hours into the trip. You could improve the tour by doing the following: giving an echo friendly bag at the beginning of the tour with a bottle of water and coupons to the tour stops; allowing purchases at the stops (I don't see how the businesses are benefiting if we cannot make purchases); at the spice and oil stores give away a small sample for us to take home; and a little less stopping to talk about the architecture.

My friends and I absolutely LOVED the food tour - the food, locations, and architectural tour was surprisingly interesting! Our tour guide was fantastic, patient, and energetic. There was definitely thought put in with regards to the timing of what and when you ate and the whole ensemble was very enjoyable!

The food was delicious....and unique to Chicago. But the tour of the neighborhood was also exceptional. Our guide was so informative. Great tour!

All the stops were good but the catering chocolate shop was our least favorite.

I found this tour purely by chance while looking at stuff to do during our long weekend trip to Chicago. My husband and I have never been to Chicago and we absolutely LOVED the food tour. It was the highlight of our trip along with the show we saw. Not only did we get to enjoy tastings of food, tea, chocolate on our particular tour (Lincoln Park/Gold Coast), but we got a great tour of neighborhoods we never would have ventured into. We also really enjoyed our WONDERFUL, enthusiastic, knowlegable guide, Jen. We made new friends and had a terrific time on our first visit to Chicago. This tour is worth every penny! When we go back we will probably go on the other tour offered in a different neighborhood.

Our group of three girlfriends rated this sightseeing and tasting tour quite highly. Our guide was entertaining and shared a lot of info that we would not have found on our own. The tastings were great and we did return and shop at some of them. It really was a fun afternoon and well worth the cost . I would like to plan another trip this spring and attend the other tour available.

I would easily have paid twice the ticket price for this tour. We had an amazing time, and I will be recommending this to everyone I know!

This is the 2nd time I've been on this tour this year. My out-of-town sister was visiting and wanted to go on this tour as she has been on the north side tour twice, but not this one. We took along our 84 year mother. We all loved it! The beautiful fall day made for perfect walking weather, and it wasn't too much for our mother either. The food was GREAT!

It was quite enjoyable. Could do without Piece Pizza since it isn't a Chicago-style pizza. Liked all the walking through the neighborhoods. Great guide.

My husband and I had a great time on the tour. It is a very interesting way to see parts of the city we wouldn't have ventured to on our own. I also liked that we learned a bit about each neighbourhood and business that we visited. I found the tea stop most interesting as it was most informative. Overall we were very happy with the tour.

This was so incredible! I've lived in Illinois all my life and have been to Chicago a million times, but never like this. Our guide was awesome, food was fantastic and just had an overall great time! Definitely worth the price, I don't think I ate dinner that night!

What impressed me most about this tour was how well it engaged both locals and tourists as well as foodies and casual eaters. Easily the best time and money I spent in Chicago.

The food tour was so much fun and the food was so good. Our guide Nikki was really good to explain the different food samples and gave us great information on the neighborhood while we were walking. I recommend it to everyone visiting Chicago.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in early November when we joined the Near North Food Tasting tour! Our guide was Jen, and she was awesome! She kept us entertained and informed throughout the walk. What great architecture and fabulous neighbourhoods. Old Towne Oil was by far our favourite stop - and we went back the next day to make some purchases! The deep dish pizza at the end was our first of our trip, and remained our favourite! Thanks to Jen and Casey for making some recommendations to us for the rest of the day!! I was not sure what to expect on this tour, but I can say that we look forward to taking the other neighbourhood tour on our next visit to Chicago. Oh, PS - thanks for the great weather too!
