| If you are tired of the ordinary, and seek something different, this is a great way to spend a few extra hours. It was great to be able to walk around and not feel lost. I got to see and experience places that I would never have gone to on my own. Our guide (Nikki) was wonderful, knowledgeable and very well informed. My only wish is that we could have experienced more exciting culinary delights. Be aware....there is no shopping allowed on this trip, do to the time limit. | ||||||

Great way to view a "different" side of Chicago

| Everyone tours downtown Chicago, but if you want to see the "softer side", I would highly recommend the food tour. Our tour guide "Nicki" was great. She kept us going at a good pace, informed us of the neighborhoods we were in, pointed out different restaurants along the way, and spread out the food tastings in a way where you didn't eat everything all at once. The tour was so well organized, that we never had to wait for our tasting. The first stop, there were at least 50 potato pancakes individually wrapped, and waiting for us. When we reached the pizza place, again, three pizzas came out, the table was set, it was great. The food is not little tiny samplings either. We could hardly eat dinner, 5 hours later. We were given great coupons to use after the tour. We actually went back and took advantage of two of the stops on our tour. I would highly recommend this tour. | ||||||

| My daughter and I were in Chicago for a family wedding. I was raised in Chicago and now live in California, She was raised in California and now lives in Texas. I organized this tour for 5 people including my mother, sister and niece. I can say we all thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food tastings were great. Who doesn't like chocolate and pizza? Our guide ,Shane was informative, enthusiastic and oh, I should mention good looking. We would all take another tour with this company. | ||||||

| The Chicago Food tour was a fun way to see some Chicago neighborhoods that I probably wouldn't have gotten to on my own. Our guide, Shane, was very dynamic and kept my interest throughout the entire 3 hour tour. The food tastings were great, but sometimes it felt that the stops were being made to give business to the merchants. I would have liked to hear a little more history about the areas we were visiting too. All in all, a fun way to spend an afternoon - and I was definitely full by the end - and had learned something too! | ||||||

Hot but Delicious

| My daughter, sister, and I very much enjoyed the food tour. All the stops provided good food and the guide Shane enlightened us about all the history of the structures and neighborhoods we visited. We saw neighborhoods that we would not have otherwise visited. I now plan to order from some of the stores merchandise for myself and for Christmas gifts. The only drawback was that it was the hottest day of the year! | ||||||

| Our guide (Shane) was terrific - very knowledgable and enthusiastic and had great relationships with the venues on the tour. He even raced down to the El from the last stop because I'd forgotten my camera in Ethel's. I really appreciated that! We were incredibly lucky and there were only three guests - a friend and I and a lovely young woman from Australia - on our particular tour. Because of this, there was much more interaction between Shane and the three of us than there probably is normally. I'd go back and do it again in a flash! The food was great too - especially the pizza at Bacino's. | ||||||

| The overall tour was very factual and the information on the archetectural history and the info on the various neighborhoods was great. As for myself and the friend with myself, little diappointed in the "sampling" itself. The spice house and the presentation by the owner was very informative. The additional information on the other restaurants in the area was also great information for future trips to the city. It was an overall good tour. | ||||||

| As it was my first time in Chicago, this walking and food tour was useful for learning more about Chicago's diverse neighbourhoods, famous people and tasty treats. My tour guide Nicki was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the city. I highly recommend this tour at the start of your visit in Chicago. --PG | ||||||

| I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see a little more of Chicago than provided by a normal downtown tour. I am new to the city and this tour taught me a lot about different neighborhoods that I may have never explored on my own. The tour also had a nice selection of tastings, but I would recommend having one less chocolate stop and maybe another "food" stop such as the potato pancake or pizza. I am not a big chocolate lover so that is the only complaint I have about this tour. Otherwise, the tour was well laid out and the tour guide was friendly and enthusiastic and had lots of interesting anticdotes about the areas covered on the tour. We had a great time! | ||||||

| We found this on the Chicago website and thought it would be fun. We went for a girls weekend and it was our favorite thing we did. Our host for the walk was a young man named Tad who we just loved. He was very nice and very knowledgeable. We thought there was alot more walking than we had theard and that was hard since we had our mom with us who is 72. The shops were fantastic. We really enjoyed the spice shop and went back there after the tour. They should add the Oil shop right next door as we loved it too. | ||||||

| We enjoyed a great sampling of "off the beaten track" specialty food establishments with an informative tour of the local neighborhoods. A wonderful and entertaining afternoon for Chicagoans as well as their out of town guests! I'll definitely come back for seconds! | ||||||
