| We had a great time on the food tour. Not only did we get to sample a wide range of food and beverages of the local fare, but we were given a brief history of the area and also walked through neighborhoods to learn of how Bucktown and Wicker Park came to be the cultrual melting pots they are today. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who's visiting or a resident of the area. | ||||||

| My husband and I truly enjoyed this tour. The food was excellent, and the tour guide was very informative and entertaining. While we expected to get a little history on the restaurants we were visiting, we were surprised to get a history lesson of the neighborhoods we passed along the way. Our tour guide explained early Chicago architecture very well. One stop on the tour was Oz Park, named after the creator of the Wizard of Oz, who got his inspiration from the district. The kids will love the statues of their favorite characters (Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, etc.) that decorate the park. The store owners were friendly and helpful, as were the people in our group who were from interestingly diverse backgrounds. And the food was so good, my husband wanted the tour to provide samples from even more establishments, but I thought the tour provided just enough. For those who are on a diet, you walk off what you eat, so put on some comfy shoes and enjoy!!! | ||||||

| I would not recommend this tour unless you enjoy being treated like a first grader. The tour guide is rude. I do not need to be told where to stand or told not to block a door or how loud to talk. I think an adult could handle this without being told several times by the tour guide. This guide needs to be instructed on how to treat customers with courtesy and respect. | ||||||

| Travelling from Scotland but not strangers to Chicago we were keen to experience a new part of town and learn that American food is not all McDonalds, BBQs and Budweiser. This was premised upon us previously doing the same Foodies tour a few years ago in Grenwich Villiage, New York and falling in love with the area, the people and the food... could this Chicago tour even touch our expectations????? In summary, this tour was delivered by an enthusiastic local foodie who was also an incomer to Chicago, he clearly loved his new city and in particular the part of town he lived...Bucktown and Wicker Park. We had nearly 3 hours of walking in the sun learning about the area, its history and the arts that surround it. We had 6 food tastings which does not sound much but if I explain each was a full course of a meal the pace of the tour slows slightly towards the end. Cold 'Hot' Chocolate, Chicago style hot dogs, ice cream made as you watch, pizza without tomato sauce (mmmm....), local pump house beers and organic rizotto/greek salad surely filled each and every one of us on the tour. So back to expectations, what can I say.... Grenwich it was nice visiting you, but our heart and taste buds now lie west of your location with our new favourite American eating zone... Bucktown and Wicker Park. This tour is a must to anyone from or just visiting Chicago, who knows we may see us on it the next time we are in town! Thanks for the experience, Brian and Patsy Glasgow, Scotland | ||||||

| We had a fantastic time on this tour. We at a pretty good size breakfast about an hour before going on the tour and were still stuffed for hours after the end of it, no lunch needed. The samples were all delicious. We had mini reubens (I was given a potato pancake as I am a vegetarian, they were very accommodating), a big iced tea, some of the best toffee ever, and a huge piece of stuffed pizza, among other tastings. Plus, I never though I could enjoy myself so much in a shop that sells nothing but olive oil and vinegars. I really enjoyed discovering new shops and restaurants. We have been to Chicago three or four times in the last few years and have never even heard of the "Old Town" area that a good deal of the tour was centered in. It was exciting to explore and learn new facts about the city and its history. We are planning on checking out the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour on our next trip. I would highly recommend this tour! | ||||||

| I really thought this was a great experience. The only complaint I have is that there was TOO much food! My sister (who recently moved to Chicago) and I (in town visiting) both had a great time. I would recommend this tour to people who are newer to the area or those that want a break from the endless shopping on the Mile. Throughout the tour, our guide would also point out different restaurants that were also good to visit, which I thought was extremely helpful. I can't wait to try out the other tours next time I am in town! | ||||||

| a friend and i took this tour after browsing tripadvisor. the reviews don't lie! the guides are really friendly and helpful. They defintely try to make the tour interesting, not cliche and fun. Also, don't expect enough food for a full meal (definitely eat a good breakfast beforehand)! | ||||||

| We had a large group of 17. Our tour guide Jen was fantastic. The walking was easy and we enjoyed the history and architecture tibits. loved the tea place and went back when tour was done to buy tea and the cool tea maker pot. I found all of the tastings good and enjoyed them all. I would recommend this tour and we plan to go back to some in future visits. | ||||||

| Get out of the city: it's an easy trip on the EL from Clark/Lake Blue Line station, 4 stops towards O'Hare . Chicago is the most wonderful city for EATS, and Bucktown/Wicker was not a disappointment. I've been to Chicago several times for conventions and it has been too easy to get locked into the downtown scene. This trip I was determined to explore more, to take a step outside the Loop & Mag Mile. This tour was a great choice: foods from award-winning chefs/restaurants, leisurely exercise, verbal history of the neighborhoods, entertainment (clever guide) -- a great combination. One of the other group members had been on the Near North tour. She said there was more food on the B/W tour than NN, but she raved about the spice store on the NN tour. I intend to do NN next time I'm in ChiTown -- and hopefully go back to B/W to experience the fun neighborhood shopping as well as a long list (provided by our guide) of other restaurants in the area. | ||||||

| Our tour guide (Kari) was really into the tour and was obviously passionate about the neighborhood. She gave the tour like a true insider and it was really cool to be part of. The food was wonderful - we went back for seconds at Hot Chocolate! | ||||||

| Fourth trip to Chicago from Canada for my wife and I... so decided to try the tour. Very informative with not a lot of walking but enough to fill the three hour tour. Learned a little about Wicker Park and Bucktown history and taste teated shops that have been around since the 40's to shops (i Cream) that are brand new. Highly reccomend the iCream shop. All round a good afternoon with lots of time left over to shop. Excellent tour guide...knew her stuff! | ||||||
