| I'm not much of a tour kinda guy, but I really enjoyed this one. Getting to know the history of the area and enjoying really unique foods plus a great tour guide made this a really enjoyable event for me. Perfectly structured, timed and organized, plenty of food and lots of interesting people and places. | ||||||

| Kent, our guide, did a great job. Very personable. We're from Ohio and when we return to visit our daughter who works in Chicago, we'll definitely revisit Bucktown and Wicker Park. | ||||||

| Great tour, even though it rained all day. I would have liked 1-2 more food stops, though the history/architecture was good. | ||||||

| We wished we would have done this tour the moment we landed. It was very informative and the food was not only authentic but AMAZING!!! Our tour guide Kent was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The food was the best. There was a lot of food. From the Chicago hot dog at Mike's, the falafel from The Sultan, and the best part was ice cream from Icream (that lady is a genius). We were so full by the end of tour. We forced ourselves to go back to Wicker Park for dinner at the Silver Cloud, which of course was delicious. I recommend the White Trash Nachos and the Pot Pie. I wasn't too impress with Chicago the first time we went, but after taking this tour it gave me a whole new appreciation for this wonderful town. Even during the rain. We will definetly look for this type of tour in all our travels. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS...YOU MUST DO IT... | ||||||

| My partner and I visited Chicago Oct 6-13 and went on the Near North Food Tour on Oct 7. We lucked out on the weather, cause it was a pretty wet and cold week. Anyway, the tour was awesome. Jenn was a terrific guide and make everyone feel welcome. The stops to the various restaurants and stores were fabulous, especially when there was interaction between us and the owners/ staff. Jenn shared some great insights on the homes in the various neighbourhoods we visited and pointed out other things of interest that would be helpful for the remainder of our stay. Favourite stops included the Tea Store, Spice Store, and Oil & Vinegar stores. The Pizza at the end was excellent as well. The only place that I didn't really enjoy was the chocolate/catering place. I didn't feel the food or experience there was all that special. It could have been made more special if we had an opportunity to taste one of their specialities (something they made for one of the big clients) and if there was some interaction with the owner. Anyway, overall I totally think this was worth it. Preview the video on the site... it is a very accurate reflection of the experience you will receive. | ||||||

| I am a tour operator and just took a small group on this tour. Everyone was extremely happy with what we did. First of all, our leader/guide was fantastic. She was very enthusiastic about Chicago and the neighborhoods we saw. She was very knowledgeable about the architecture. The stops at the venues we had were so much fun. They were not your usual "chain" shops. We all went back the next day to make purchases! I would recommend this trip to everyone. We had some ladies that were over 80 years old and they did opt to take a taxi to our last stop, but that worked out fine. Great day! | ||||||

We came to chacago just to do a food thing. so glad we found these 2 tours. we like to cook and found the near north so interesting with the tea, spice and the oil stores after we got done with the tour we acctually back tracked and went to all the stores all over again and bought so much we had to have it shipped back home. the guides were so friendly and helpful...... i hope they add more tours so we can come back to do it all over again | ||||||

Portable Microphone & Not Vegan for everyone

| We really enjoyed the Walking Food Tour through Bucktown/Wicker Park areas and would recommend it to others. Definitely recommend a portable microphone as we could hardly heard the guide with all the street noise and people noise in each establishment. One place even had loud music playing so we really could not hear her there. It seemed this tour was catered to the vegetarians entirely at each venue. We would have liked a little more variety since we are not vegans. Our favorites places were Hot Chocolate and ICream. The others were good but we had tried before except for the falafel. Our guide, Kerry, was very informative and did a good job. | ||||||

Great tour with interesting information & stops

| This tour was excellent. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and the stops were both fun and interesting. We went back to 2 of the stops because we wanted to actually buy some spices and oils but would also return to a few more. I have lived in and around Chicago my whole life and still found out some new things. When in one of the stops with a large group you do feel like a tourist but it passes quickly. You need to check the weather on the day you go. Fortunately the weather was only cloudy with a few spinkles towards the end. It would have been a more difficult day if it would have rained but you need to dress for the weather. We still would have had fun. Great exercise too especially if you walk back to the start. | ||||||

| Kent our guide certainly knew his history and detail of the area. It was good to see that he was very enthusiastic about the food and the history of both Bucktown and Wicker Park. We were staying in downtown Chicago on vacation and had it not been for the tour we certainly would not have visited the area or had the opportunity to sample food and drink in the 6 selected places. We thought the choice of places visited was excellent and the variety was appreciated. Given the amount we had to eat and drink on the tour you will not be surprised to hear that we had a 'light' evening meal We will certainly recommend the tour to anyone we know who is contemplating a visit to Chicago | ||||||
