| Our guide Shane was quite informative and willing to answer questions. There were more than enough samples at all locations for our group and all were quite delicious!!!! I was surprised to sample thin crust rather than deep dish pizza, but the explanation given was satisfactory. There was excellent improvisation (garbage bags) provided to the group when we were in the middle of a huge downpour during our tour....and all shop owners were quite pleasant and accommodating. The only downside of going on the tour on a Sunday afternoon was that the majority of places we visited were closed by the end of the tour, so couldn't go back that same day. I would definitely recommend taking in this tour, as it really gives you more of the flavour of Chicago than just walking to Navy Pier or the Magnificent Mile. | ||||||

| This 3 hour tour exceeded our expectations ... we got a chance to walk through several Chicago neighborhoods and truly admired the city landscapes ... the food was varied and our stops were well timed for a chance to rest ... our guide was exceptional ... he not only knew his stuff, he delivered his descriptions of the food sites, city parks and history with humor and flair. | ||||||

| Everything we'd read online had indicated to meet at Michigan and Pearson at Old Water Tower. So that is where we were 20 minutes before time of the tour. Kept looking for someone who looked like he/she might be the guide. Finally it was 2 o'clock and decided we'd try to call someone. Looked at the actual voucher to find phone number and then saw the more specific instructions to meet in front of Ghirardelli. So got off to a bad start. But it worked out ok. But joined Sean, the guide, with total of five on the tour. Enjoyed the peace and quiet when we turned off of Michigan Av (away from the traffic) and then again when we left State St. The buildings were most interesting and Sean told interesting stories about many of them. He introduced us to the people working in the shops where we sampled the various food items. Had wonderful chocolate and toffee. Enjoyed learning about all the many spices at the spice shop, and about the many teas at the tea shop. The samples of cheese and bread were excellent. And the pizza was really great too---what a treat. Guess the shop operators all knew that we didn't have time to shop while on the tour but it surely would have been nice if we'd been given at least a few minutes for shopping during the tour. I know that's a difficult thing to do, especially if there is a large group, for then it would take way too much time. We were just glad there was another tea shop close enough that we could stop there before leaving the area. Thank you for providing such a walking tour. We really enjoyed the whole afternoon. | ||||||

| As a new resident of Chicago, I hadn't had time to explore much. This tour gave me a great basis for branching out further on my own, while being very entertaining in its own right. The food was very good, and the coordination of food and tour was extremely well organized. I went back to one of the establishments for dinner that same day. | ||||||

| The weather was rainy and we still enjoyed our day. The walk was so interesting. We learned as tourists that there is more to Chicago than Michigan Avenue and Navy Park. Most of the success was because of the interesting and personable young man that was our leader. He was just great. | ||||||

| I enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods that we visited. I would have liked a little more history from our tour guide. The food stops were good but I would have like to sit down just a moment or two somewhere during the tour. | ||||||

| My co-workers and I very much enjoyed this walking tour. It was a great opportunity to see neighborhoods that I ordinarily wouldn't have and experience the culture there. The food was terrific and the guide was very knowledgable. One suggestion: please allow 10-15 minutes after each stop for members to shop. I know the businesses would appreciate it. I would have bought several things if I'd had time, but I was not able to come back afterward. I'd rather add 30 minutes to the tour than miss out on taking home some of the great products we sampled. | ||||||

| This is our second tour and highly recommend as a value added tour for the cost, interesting neighborhoods visited, food establishments (always fun to see what we get!). Tour guide knowledgable, accommodating, affable. Great way to get a feel for a city et al. | ||||||

| The food was good. I was stuffed and got some to take home for supper actually. Love the diversity of choices, from traditional Chicago hot dog, Middle-Eastern sandwich, to homemade marshmallow and made-from-scratch ice-cream. I also learned about the neighborhood and part of Chicago culture along the way. The tour guide was nice and fairly knowledgeable about the subject. I am glad I took that tour. Strongly recommend it. I would suggest the company create more tours like that to different neighborhoods and types of restaurant. There is a big potential for this kind of tour. | ||||||

| Our enthusiastic tour guide was interesting and informative...she worked very hard to engage everyone in our diverse group...the food science and architectural info added a welcome dimension to the tour...Suggestion: the Jewish deli would have been better if we had sampled items such as knishes, blintzes, etc. rather than the Reuben sandwich (which wasn't anything special). | ||||||

| I found this tour purely by chance while looking at stuff to do during our long weekend trip to Chicago. My husband and I have never been to Chicago and we absolutely LOVED the food tour. It was the highlight of our trip along with the show we saw. Not only did we get to enjoy tastings of food, tea, chocolate on our particular tour (Lincoln Park/Gold Coast), but we got a great tour of neighborhoods we never would have ventured into. We also really enjoyed our WONDERFUL, enthusiastic, knowlegable guide, Jen. We made new friends and had a terrific time on our first visit to Chicago. This tour is worth every penny! When we go back we will probably go on the other tour offered in a different neighborhood. | ||||||
