| I came to Chicago for the first time and I couldn't be more pleased with this tour. It was the perfect amount of culture and food all wrapped up into a great tour! My tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and its surrounding neighborhood and was super passionate about food, which I loved! It was great to have a down to earth perspective about the city. Thanks! | ||||||

| The tour was a great way for an individual to get a limited exposure to a number of neighborhoods and the culinary experiences that they provide. On my tour we had people from both sides of the US which was fun but most people were in couples so the whole getting to know you experience was weak. For someone that is passionate about food and had never been to Chicago it was a good opportunity to see what was out there. | ||||||

| I've lived in the Chicago northwest suburbs for eleven years. I've brought tourists to the city at least twice a year but have never gone on this unique tour until last September. Had it not been for my sleepless nights with my newborn baby, I wouldn't have found it featured on the late night show "190 North". I couldn't have picked a better tour for my foodie mother who came all the way from Asia. It was a food tour, architectural tour, and a neighborhood tour all rolled into one. We particularly enjoyed the spice & herb specialty shop and the oil and vinegar store. I only wish they had allowed the group to shop for at least five minutes on each stop. It was really inconvenient to go back, plus we were a bit poofed after walking for three hours. I'm already planning to go to the Bucktown tour with my husband next year. | ||||||

| Enjoyed the restaurants although the catering chocolate seems a bit pointless. Was pleasantly surprised by the spice shop and the oil shop. | ||||||

| This tour provided an excellent mix of interactive tastings, foot bound movement through local neighborhoods, relevant and interesting information, and notable information about the city's history. There is a good variety of types of food related venues and they make them all at least somewhat interesting. The food itself is pretty dang good and you get special discounts and coupons. | ||||||

| We spent a wonderful afternoon with our adorable guide Jessie learning about the food, architecture and history of the Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park! The pacing of this tour is obviously well-thought out. The tastings were interspersed with leisurely walks and informative talks not to mention the needed restroom break when it was needed. The tastings were all in small "mom and pop" type businesses...not chain stores. The group was just the right size to be able to hear Jessie's fun, informative chats. We loved the flavored olive oils and vinegars at Old Town Oil, the amazing array of spices at the Spice House and the fabulous butter toffee at the Fudge Pot! These tastings not skimpy either! The tour ended with a generous slice of deep dish pizza at Bacino's, and it was excellent. Most of these businesses have websites that you can visit after your tour. Half of my friends walked the tour in reverse to buy some of the items we sampled! I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something to do other than shop on the Magnificent Mile! We can't wait to return and do the other tour! | ||||||

| I have raved nonstop about this tour since we took it. Jessie, our guide, was knowledgeable and personable. She did an excellent job. Obviously the food was a highlight, but we also enjoyed learning more about Chicago's history and architecture. We particularly appreciated the opportunity to meander through some of the neighborhoods and get a more intimate experience of the city. I found myself taking pictures like crazy and making plans to retrace my steps to grab some shots I missed. The merchants at the various stops were extremely helpful and patient. Nearly everyone in our group thought the oil shop was a favorite, and the staff gave us great suggestions for oil/vinegar combinations to try. I also appreciated learning about the teas and spices. And who didn’t love the huge slabs of chocolate-covered toffee? Because of scheduling issues, we had to leave as soon as the tour was done. This was a big disappointment because we wanted to purchase items from the stores and restaurants we visited. Fortunately, we are planning another trip to Chicago next month, and we will make a beeline for these merchants. Family and friends will be thrilled to find unique and tasty gifts from us this holiday season. We are from Michigan and we went on this tour with friends from Nebraska. We plan on making a trip to meet in Chicago an annual tradition, and a Chicago Food Planet tour will definitely be on our itinerary. | ||||||

| Loved the tour guide Ariana. Young, energitic, delightful personality, who infused tour with same quality. Choices of food/drink/misc. was spot on. Enjoyed the variety--food, spice, olive oil/vinegar. Also, enjoyed the neighborhoods that tour took us through. | ||||||

| My partner and I visited Chicago Oct 6-13 and went on the Near North Food Tour on Oct 7. We lucked out on the weather, cause it was a pretty wet and cold week. Anyway, the tour was awesome. Jenn was a terrific guide and make everyone feel welcome. The stops to the various restaurants and stores were fabulous, especially when there was interaction between us and the owners/ staff. Jenn shared some great insights on the homes in the various neighbourhoods we visited and pointed out other things of interest that would be helpful for the remainder of our stay. Favourite stops included the Tea Store, Spice Store, and Oil & Vinegar stores. The Pizza at the end was excellent as well. The only place that I didn't really enjoy was the chocolate/catering place. I didn't feel the food or experience there was all that special. It could have been made more special if we had an opportunity to taste one of their specialities (something they made for one of the big clients) and if there was some interaction with the owner. Anyway, overall I totally think this was worth it. Preview the video on the site... it is a very accurate reflection of the experience you will receive. | ||||||

| What a fantastic day, fantastic guide, and great info about the Chicago neighborhoods. Most visitors assume that the Magnificant Mile is all that Chicago has to offer, but this tour is so informative and eye opening to so many other areas. Great insider info and great food! Who knew!!! | ||||||

| This is one of the best things we've done. We got exercise and had great food. It was wonderful to do a walking tour of Chicago - you see so much. Also, our guide was the best. He was funny and he really knew the area and the specialties in the shops and restaurants. My only complaint would be that we had no opportunity to buy anything. We will probaby go back to our favorite places. I've recommended this tour to everyone I've talked to. | ||||||

| The best part about the tour was that is was many tours mixed into one. My wife and I enjoy food very much, and we also enjoy tours of cities where they tell you about what you are looking at. This tour was both into one and by adding in the food of the neighborhoods, it helped you understand and live the life of a local. Highly reccomended. | ||||||
