| I've lived in Chicago for 10 years and find it harder and harder to find interesting and fun things to do when family comes in to visit for a weekend, as we've done all the usual "chicago sites" time and time again. When a friend recommended this I thought it sounded like something not only my guests would enjoy, but also give me a chance to experience things in the city I've never had the chance to before. And that's exactly what it was. Our guide, Jen, was super friendly, bubbly and knowledgable about the city and really made the experience for us. Even though it was a rainy day, Jen never let that slow us down, and I barely noticed the inclement weather with all the good food we were eating! My family couldn't wait to go back to our favorite stops on the tour and do a little shopping and more eating. They loved it and haven't stopped raving about it. Great tour, great guides, highly recommend for anyone! | ||||||

| Shane was our tour guide on this beautiful day in Chicago. We had a girl's weekend and this was one of the hightlights of our trip. Although we had been to Chicago many times, this tour was in an area of town we had never been to. Shane was very personable and gave great information about the architecture of the area as well as the shops we went into. We all loved it, and would highly reccommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. | ||||||

| The tour was interesting and exactly what it stated it would be. Our tour guide was easy going and provided us with interesting details as we walked. The stores were varied and overall it was a great experience. | ||||||

| My boyfriend and I are new to Chicago and have often been overwhelmed by the number of potential restaurants and/or areas of town to visit. So we decided to be tourists in our own city and take a tour of some of the areas we were unfamiliar with. Hence the reason for the near-north food/cultural walking tour. We met fantastic people from all over North America; couples, groups of friends, families etc. with an equal amount of regard for this tour. My boyfriend enjoyed the cultural aspect of the tour the most while I enjoyed the tastings! Our tour guide Shane was on his game, he was extremely well informed and humorous, making the tour beyond enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour, for all age groups and all tourists, including Chicago natives. You can never know too much about your own city. You will not be disappointed with this outing. | ||||||

| We enjoyed the walk through a part of Chicago on a day with beautiful weather. We had samples at each place and were fed just the right amount. The variety made it interesting as well as the information about the places we saw. | ||||||

| The Chicago Food tour of Bucktown and Wicker Park was our first scheduled event of our get-away weekend. Kent was an engaging and entertaining guide as we learned about these unique neighborhoods. We appreciated how he pointed out architectural details and highlighted restaurants and businesses that were not even part of our sampling. By the end of the tour, we felt so familiar with the area that we made a point of coming back for great food and nightlife. This tour was well worth our time and money and we highly recommend it to people looking for something different OFF the MagMile. | ||||||

| We tasted latkes, tea, spices, oils & balsamic vinegars, chocolate toffee, cheeses & deep dish pie. I would have liked shorter presentations (the tea guy went on forever) and more food tastings. I would have loved to try small portions of signature Chicago dishes. Enjoyed the architectural information, though. Overall, I think I would have liked more samples at more restaurants, but in small portions. And I would have liked to know more about foods that are Chicago specialties, and more about the current food scene in Chicago - maybe even some culinary history of the town. | ||||||

| I would recommend this tour for anyone. The food was fabulous I just wished I had more time to shop during the tour. Next time I'm in Chicago I will be going on the other tour. | ||||||

| Myself and two friends, one from out of town and one from Chicago participated in the group tour on Friday, April 17th. What a fantastic day! We were fortunate that the weather was sunny and beautiful. Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable and was able to speak to a very varied audience. All of the stops on the tour were yummy! We enjoyed portions much larger than we expected at every establishment. All were absolutely delicious, some traditional and some fun and trendy. We LOVED the iced hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows, however, everything offered for tasting was fresh and delicious. We had a great experience, had a chance to walk around a very eclectic neighborhood and sample terrific local cuisine and learn a little history in the process. We definitately recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food, whether visiting from out of town or a local. We even purchased several items to take home. One thing to consider is the distance covered in the tour, you should be able to walk several city blocks without difficulty, and wear comfortable shoes. . | ||||||

| My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We went back to several of the stops the next day. We live in a Minneapolis suburb. Our guide, Jennifer, was great!! She was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The selected stops were all very interesting, informative and well worth the time. The tour exceeded our expectations not only because of the quality of the tour stops (we learned a lot), but the historical and architectural hightlights provided (or pointed out) by Jen. We recommended it to our Chicago cousins and they indicated they will do the tour soon. We look forward to returning to Chicago next year (fourth year) and doing the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour. | ||||||

| Tour was great. We had fantastic weather, so that added to the experience. Food was good and we went back to several spots for further tastings. More time talking to the owners would be a plus, but as this tour is during peak hours it's understandable. | ||||||

| I did the Near North tasting food tour with my boyfriend and we had such a great time! Our tour guide was full of fun facts and was so personable. We learned so much about the Chicago neighborhoods and about Chicago food, way more than we expected! I would recommend it to anyone! We went back to most of the places we visited on the food tour straight after the tour to buy products. You will not regret it! | ||||||
