| Its always tough to find things to do when your family comes into town, but this tour was great! You saw a lot of neat neighborhoods and gave my family a better taste (punn intended) of what Chicago is really like. I highly recommend it! | ||||||

A Perfect Introduction to the City

| My friend and I took this tour midday Sunday after having spent the weekend in downtown Chicago. While staying in the downtown area was convenient for all of the sightseeing we'd done, we both agreed that we wish we'd been on the tour sooner so that we would've known about all of the attractions in the near north neighborhoods. Every stop on the tour was informative (and delicious!) I'm studying food science at the Ohio State University and I still found myself learning new things everywhere we went. I believe some of that is a testament to Chicago Food Planet and the participating stores, but I credit our guide Jennifer with most of that. She worked tirelessly to engage everyone in our group, all the while sharing more bits of trivia about architecture, food, and the city than I ever would have expected. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone new to the city with a taste for good food. | ||||||

| This was a Mother Daughter weekend for us and we both throughly enjoyed the walk through the side streets and popping into the gems of the city that the locals frequent. Only wish we had taken this tour the 1st day so we could return to some of the places we walked past or that the guide talked about. Our guide was a local with good knowledge of the architecture, history, and little known facts. Food tasting were good and varried. If you don't mind walking quite a bit you'll love this tour. | ||||||

| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Not only was the places we visited and ate at terrific, the history of Chicago that we learned was very interesting. We cannot wait to return to Chicago to take the South Shore tour. It was one of our best memories of our trip. And last but not least, Nicki, our guide was the best! Informative, outgoing, exuberant, friendly and just great! | ||||||

| Kent was a great tour guide. In 3 hours, I got to taste a Chicago hotdog (and learn what makes it a Chicago hotdog), thin crust pizza, delicious and smooth hot chocolate with a homemade marshmallow, super granola and 2 wonderful pieces of chocolate truffle. mmmmgood. Oh, yes, I did enjoy the history of Bucktown and Wicker Park. Definitely recommend this tour. | ||||||

| My husband and I tried the tour out on a whim after reading some positive reviews online. After experiencing it, we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the city! It gave us the opportunity to explore areas of Chicago that we normally would not have ventured to, and to learn about the history and the architecture behind these neighborhoods. Our tour guide, Jen, was FABULOUS! Her energy and true love for the city left us wanting to come back again! The shops we visited were off the beaten path and we went back to a few of them after the tour was over to do some shopping. Overall, a wonderful tour that is a great way to see Chicago! | ||||||

| Our guide, Jennifer, did a great job! My fiance and I enjoyed the tour very much! The weather on the day of our tour was terrible, but we still loved it... now that says a lot. | ||||||

| 2 locals and 2 out of towners -- we had a great time. Saw areas of the city we don't normally get to. Food stops were great -- especially the Fudge store and Oil/Vinegar shop. Nicky the guide was really great -- energetic, informative, and entertaining. I would strongly recommend this. And a lot of food to eat (especially chocolate toffee) for $40! | ||||||

| My husband and I had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we bought our tickets. Let me tell you we are sure glad we followeded our instincts. The tour was great, we got to see many things such a neighbourhoods, restaurants, homes buildings, parks and many other things along the way. We got to explore some really nice specialty shops and of course sample a lot of yummy stuff. This walking tour gives you a feel for Chicago neighbourhoods and its surroundings. | What an awesome tour! Our guide Nicki was very informative and enthusiastic! We enjoyed all the stops with the exception for Catering Chocolate. (They made the group feel like we were an inconvience to them). We enjoyed the experience so much, that we went back the next day and accidently met a couple with whom we toured, ate pizza and revisited the shops! What fun! Will take Chicago Food Planet's other tour next time we visit the city! | ||||||

| My wife and I had a great time on the food tour. We were able to sample a wide selection of cuisine and get a real feel for life in Chicago. The merchants and restaurant owners were all pleasant, and our tour guide Kate was informative and uber cute. It was worth every penny. | ||||||
