| Really enjoyed the tour; the guide (Kate) was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour stopped at an eclectic groups of businesses, likely ones I would not have known about without the tour. Wear comfy shoes, and bring a water bottle to be prepared. It actually lasted closer to 3 1/2 hours, and definitely not for a handicapped audience nor for children. All in all, well worth the cost. | ||||||

| Most of the tastings are available if you walk into the store alone, and most of them aren't specific to Chicago. So I think $40 is rather expensive for tastings of olive oil and cinnamon. If you like to go on a guided tour and be taken from store to store, rather than walk alone, then maybe this is for you | ||||||

| We love food and naturally booked this tour when we were visiting Chicago. Our tour guide Kate was awesome, and she was great at answering questions and providing some real history. The food we tasted itself was not in abundance, except for the slice of pizza so we were a little disappointed at that. The best part of the tour was the neighborhoods we visited. Most people on tour considered it more of a walking tour of chicago with some snacks on the way! The Spice House, Tea shop and Stuffed Pizza were the highlights. We recommend taking this tour. It was an enjoyable 3 hour event and we would try the other tours this company offers. | ||||||

| This was my second food tour...and the second tour was every bit as good as the first one. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was great as she had just the right enough of information. So easy to listen to, her enthusiasm was obvious. All the food samples were excellent. I will be watching for another food tour that I can go on. Thank you!! | ||||||

| The tour is such fun and very entertaining as well as informative. Kent, the tour guide had me wishing I was a Chicago native so I could return to these great restaurants where we had been, and also to the extra places that were pointed out along the way. I've got great suggestions for all my friends traveling there as well as my daughter and all of her buds from Northwestern. I had taken the original Chicago food tour in May and was thrilled with it, so much that I was going to do it again and take my husband so he could experience it. The Wicker Park tour is fairly new but definitely highlights the best of what the neighborhood is all about. I'd highly recommend it. It poured rain for over half of our tour and we still had a blast!! | ||||||

| Our tour leader, Emily, was delightful. Our group of 8 enjoyed all of the stops. The Spice World is fantastic. Would have enjoyed hearing more of the history of the city as it pertained to various ethnic groups and the foods they made famous. | ||||||

| My husband and I enjoyed our tour immensely. This was our third trip to Chicago, and this is one of the most interesting things we have done while visiting. We got to see nieghborhoods we had not previously visited, taste wonderful foods, and just enjoyed a beautiful autumn day. Nikki was an excellent tour guide. All the stops were great--it would be difficult to pick a favorite. Thanks for such a wonderful day! | ||||||

| We enjoyed the most beautiful day in Chicago with our fabulous tour guide, Nikki, and a fun group of strangers! Nikki was knowledgable, the tastings were yummy, and the walk was... well, a bit long. The last 2 stops were worth the walk (pizza and chocolate) but I would let folks stop in the two parks (which both have charming seating areas) to relax for a moment during the commentary. This activity was a great use of time and money and a unique way to spend time in the Windy City, particularly in good weather. | ||||||

| What a great concept and well executed as well. Nicky was a wonderful guide through the various neighbourhoods we visited. She demonstrated passion for the city and for the tour and all of the stops on it. For me, the tea and cheese store visits weren't the favourites but that's based on personal preference. The attention to detail was very positive. Bringing water at various stops, providing a few opportunities to sit, stopping at various points of interest during the longer walk periods were all appreciated. Well done! | ||||||

| This walking tour was very interesting and dynamic. Our guide (Jennifer) was such a good communicator. It is a non-touristic way to discover neighborhoods. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food, walking and meet new people. | ||||||

| Our tour guide Jennifer dazzeled us with her food/city knowledge. The tour included perfect boutique like shops that only an insider would know of. And between each food tasting we saw neighborhoods in Chacago that we would have never ventured into. Overall experience, a must-do for foodies, and anybody interested in seeing the hippie-chic neighborhoods of Chicago! | ||||||

Suggestions to Improve Tour

| Would like 5-10 minutes for shopping at each stop, because we didn't have time to go back after the tour. And, this would give business to the shop owners. Time for shopping could be made by eliminating two stops: #6 Catering for cheese tasting (since we ate cheese pizza at the next stop); #8 Chocolate Lounge (since we had chocolate at a previous stop). Also, would like to have sausage instead of vegetarian pizza, since Chicago is know for its' sausage! | ||||||

| I'm a foodie, so I was looking forward to this tour from the start of our trip. But it far exceeded my expectations! The tasting stops were all either family-owned gourmet shops, or unique specialty chains. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable -- not only of the tasting stops, but of the history of Chicago and neighborhoods we visited. There wasn't a minute of boredom. After three hours of walking, we felt like we walked off all of the decadent tastes -- although some "tastes" could count as small meals! I'd recommend this tour to locals or tourists -- foodies, or not. Just be prepared to walk and eat! | ||||||
