Chicago Food Planet Food Tours

Had a fun time with family in from out of town. Learned a lot about Wicker Park and Bucktown while walking and eating some delicious food. Highlights were an authentic Chicago-style dog, the best falafel I've ever had, and fantastic ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. Kent, our tour guide, was enthusiastic. Knowledgeable, and funny. He clearly loves that part of town. There was plenty of rest time, and the food was combined with history, culture, and architecture, as well. Only suggestions would be to change the kale salad place and leave a little time at each stop to buy suveniers.

Really enjoyed the tour, it was a small group with a great guide. Learnt so much and had the chance to share information too. Would suggest anyone tries a tour they are well worth it.

My husband and I enjoyed getting out of tourist area of city to see an interesting and developing part of Chicago. Our guide Kent was young hip and groovy and also passionate and informed about his neighborhood. The tour was very relaxed but well designed giving variety between local history and the culture of the people and their food. Wisely we didn't have breakfast, and enjoyed the wide and generous variety of samples along the tour. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Ps now back in Australia trying to replicate a Chicago Hotdog....addicted!!

Kent was a fabulous tour guide. The food on the tour was delicious and the walking in between really helped with digestion! My only complaint was that Kent talked a little too fast at times but it was still very informative! Thank you again!

My sister and I enjoyed this tour. We had so much fun. The young women who took us on this excursion were so excited to show us their neighborhood. Customer service is high on our list when evaluating service and they exceeded our expectations. We learned so much about the area and the food. They began with information about themselves, the map, the places we would be going to, and the rules. I really liked that they adhered to them. They had the perfect personality for this position. Thank you guys for the best time. It was the highlight of our trip to Chicago.

My sister was in town visiting so we signed up for the food tour. It was a beautiful sunny day, which was perfect for walking around Bucktown/Wicker Park. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, fun, and knowlegable. For the most part we enjoyed the food. It was nice to branch out and see a new neighborhood and there are places I would definitely try again.

Four of us spent a lovely Saturday afternoon wandering Bucktown/Wicker Park eating yummy things along the way. The tour was interesting - we heard about the history of the neighborhood and saw some great architecture. The food was delicious as well. Highly recommended!

Nicole was very good she did a nice job with history of Old Town as well as the shops. I took the tour a few years ago and I did like the food stops better, the Deli to start and ending at the pizza place just thought that was more relaxing and a better time to have the pizza still had alot of fun

What a great time! My girlfriend and I were visitng from Miami and had the pleasure of joining our tour guide, Jade, on our Bucktown/Wicker Park tour. For starters, although we walked a nice distance, the time flew by thanks to Jade's enthusiasm and spirit. The things we learned regarding the city areas, local culture/customs,and even architecture was well worth the price. But then you tax on the food and what a bargain! We enjoyed Chicago style hot dogs, pizza, salad, hot chocolate with a heavenly marshmallow, falafel, and an incredible ice cream at the end. Thanks again for a wonderful tour and next time we're in Chicago we will definitely do another one.

Our tour leader, Heather, was terrific. Very knowledgeable and affable. Enjoyed this Chicago experience and will highly recommend it to others.

I came across this while searching for things to do in Chicago on the internet. The whole concept of learning a bit about Chicago's history coupled with various tasting stops was right up my alley. The three friends that also went said its not something they would have ever done on their own but they thought it was great fun and would recommend it to others. I appreciate how organized it all was and how entertaining. Thank you!!! I hope to find similar concepts in other cities that I visit in the future.

This was our group's 3 food tour and we filled out the entire tour with 13 people on the Chinatown Tour. Our tour guide Lisa was very knowledgeable and made the day amazing. The food was great and so was the history of the area. I would highly recommend this tour, but make sure you are hungry! After it we took the water taxi back towards the loop.
