The Original Chicago Pizza Tour

From the time we met Chicago Pizza Tours at Pizanos to the time we were dropped off, it was a truly first class experience one cannot miss when in Chicago! The tour lasted a little under three hours tasting at four different pizza parlors all of which are rated in the top twenty (out of over 2000) in Chicago. However, the experience isn't JUST about tasting pizza as you learn about the intricacies of pizza from its history to dough making to the various types of ovens/cooking styles, so on and so forth. At the same time, you're learning about the history of Chicago plus having tons of laughs as the tour guide is hilarious!!! Although you would think a full day of eating pizza is enough, you're actually left wanting more since the restaurants are amazing and the tour makes you appreciate the food you're eating even more. We did many other tours while in town (Wrigley, river/lake Architectural, etc.), but this was the highlight of the trip by far. Thanks Chicago Pizza Tours!!!

It was a bit too pricey. Pizano's was way ahead of the pack. It was a great tour to find this gem. The other pizzerias were average. I know of other pizza places this tour does not use which ought to be. However, I had a specific goal, which was to try pizza I've never had before without waiting in line or visiting on separate days. I noticed that at one location, they deliberately made us wait so that we'd buy drinks. All in all, I enjoyed the trivia that went along with Chicago's history with pizza. John, our tour guide, was enthusiastic and knows the city. He won't disappoint.

I got our tickets for my fiance for his birthday (he loves pizza almost as much as he loves me)! We had a wonderful time! We don't live that far from Chicago but it sounded fun and we had never been to any of the places the tour took us! We can't wait to take some of our friends back to our favorites. We have even talked about taking the tour again when it visits they other locations. I highly recomend this for a date or for a big group!!

I was thoroughly pleased and enjoyed the pizza tour a ton! My sister and I wanted to taste different types of pizza and this was the best way to do it! I was especially impressed by our tour guide (sorry, forgot your name) and Jim (aka - Jim force one). They were very entertaining and you can tell that they both like their job! I had a great time and I have already reccommended the tour to others!

We took this tour as part of a bachelor party all day event. We had a great time! For those of us who were from out of town, it was a great way to get introduced to Chicago pizza. For those of us from Chicago, we had fun getting to know some new great pizza places in our own city. Our tour guide knew a lot about different kinds of pizza. The pace was relaxed and everyone on the tour got along well. From there, we headed over to the Blackhawks game to watch the Hawks beat Detroit. From there out on the town! A great day and the Chicago Pizza Tour was a fantastic start!

Our group consisted of 13 and Jon went out of his way to accomodate our needs. The trolley was cool, the tour was fun and of course Jon was nice. Every one had a blast and enjoyed the food. Prepare to eat quite a bit. They were full by the 3rd trip. Pizanos was a favorite for quite a few in the group. Definitely worth the money.

Our group had a great time. They all enjoyed every stop and of course the pizza was great. One commented on how he felt like he gained weight just from the tour. You do get fed tons....I was a bit leary due to a review about not getting enough food...but the gang was full by the third stop! Jon was a great tour guide and was very nice. Jon also went out of his way to accomodate our group. I highly recommend this pizza tour! :)

The pizza tour was our first activity after our arrival in Chicago, and it was a wonderful way to orient ourselves to the city and its food. Jon was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The ride was fun and informative and the food was plentiful and delicious! Will definitely bring other friends to experience this super tour!

Enjoyed our tour guide with a great memory. State on time schedule without feeling rushed. Very knowledgeable about tour topic PIZZA. Would do it again and I bet he woul remember us and choose different spots to visit in a cozy group of 15 or so. Well done BRAVO. Don't miss out on this one wether your single with family or friends.
