Chicago Pizza Tours

enjoyable pizza eating tour. been recommending it to everyone since we returned home. would have loved to have some brochures to spread around.

This tour was 'okay'. I think we were expecting a little more in terms of overall fun. While the tour director was informative in his background knowledge of each pizzeria, we felt that he lacked the overall enthusiasm for his job. He disengaged from the group and did not socialize with us many times throughout the morning/afternoon. As much as we enjoyed seeing other neighborhoods of Chicago felt the overall price was high (even with the small discount we found online) for what you got. Try exploring on your own and with 2,000+ pizzerias in Chicago you are bound to find great pizza and fun! We give this a tour a C rating!

We enjoyed the pizza tour. There is plenty of food (but never enough sausage!) my husband had seconds several times. He had to tap out by half way through his deep dish slice. Nearly didn't need any supper that night. The tour guide was friendly and kept things moving along. I would suggest that they don't need to cut the pizza in to regular sized slices, they could get away with smaller servings and save themselves some $$. Most of us wanted to nap on the way home.

The tour didn't just involve tasting pizza ~ you learned about the different types, how they originated, how each Pizzeria makes their own unique, etc., etc. It was a fun time and John was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. We would highly recommend this tour if you are visiting the Chicago area! P.S. We had tour reservations @ 3:00 for Wrigley Field and our pizza tour was running over due to us getting tied up in traffic, so John called us a cab from our last stop and we made it to Wrigley Field in time for our tour there:)

the chicago pizza tour is so great that we took it twice (once in april and again in august)! it was the best way to try pizza in a city know for great pizza. this tour would be great for a family as well as for a date. jonathan, our tour guide and fellow pizza fanatic, gives you a history behind each restaurant/pizza and of the sites. if you are looking for a different kind of chicago tour, pick the chicago pizza tour!

It's fun and something unique to do , I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys pizza!

We HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting Chicago to take the Pizza Tour. We loved it! John is awesome...and so are the pizzas we had. We've told at least 10-12 people since getting home about it and saying how much we enjoyed the tour. Love pizza? Take this tour. Worth every cent!

Fun and informative tour. Visited 4 different pizzerias and had at least 1 slice at each stop. Learned about the history of Chicago pizza and the different styles available. All the pizza's were great! Our guide, Mike, and driver, Soap, were informative and funny. We ended our day with a late dinner at the first place we visited! Highly recommended!

Not really a pizza person but my wife is. I enjoyed the pizza an info on the differences in their preparation. Liked the interaction of the other people an our great Guide. Very nice experience , I recommend hole heartidly.

Highlight of my trip to Chicago. John is a great guide, and the tour bus takes you around most of Chicago so you get a tour and information about Chicago, not just pizza. John tries to socialize with all of the various people there to get everyone comfortable and does a great job. All of the pizza was amazing!

I went with my boyfriend and we both really enjoyed it! I am now a pizza connoisseur! :) You don't need to be a pizza fanatic to do this tour, as long as you love eating you will love this! John is great too, every street we went down he had something to say about it, he is full of knowledge and does his research! He is an asset to Chicago!

If you LOVE pizza, take this tour! Great sampling of the different kinds of pizza Chicago offers and it's not just deep dish! Come hungry, leave happy! I would highly recommend this tour; we had a great time.

I grew up in Chicago and now live in CA. I'm opening a pizza spot soon in CA and decided to gain some Chicago pizza knowledge on a recent trip back while visiting family. Jon did a great job getting into details of history of Chicago pizza as well as the differences of the many different types of pizzas we sampled that day. From Chicago deep dish to Chicago thin crust to Neapolitan style...we hit them all. Plenty of food and good company to top it off. I would recommend this to locals and tourists alike. Plus you get some great views of the city while driving around in the Dough Force One while Jon points out great Chicago landmarks. I enjoyed my tour and would highly recommend it especially if you haven't been to Chicago and want to sample some different styles of pizza all in one day.
