Chicago Pizza Tours

This was a fun way to get to try a variety of pizzas in Chicago that we would have never gotten to see on our own. The guide was great. The only critique I would say is how hot the bus was which made it very uncomfortable between tour stops. Air may have been broken -- not sure.

We went on the tour for my sisters bachelorette party. She likes pizza so we thought this would be great. I must say we all had a far better time than any of us even anticipated. We are all locals, but some of the places we went to were new to us and man am I glad. Definitely found a new favorite and learned some really neat things! I would definitely recommend this tour to all my friends! 2 thumbs up!

John was very informative and loves his pizza! We had a great time! Enjoyed the others on the tour and the pizza was very different at all the locations. A variety of pizzas told the whole story. Would highly recommend and the next time I'm in Chicago I will be taking this tour again. Congrats to John for a unique experience.

Our Family loves pizza and we loved this pizza tour with Chicago Pizza Tours. We enjoyed all the restaurants and the knowledge of the history of pizza in the chicago area, including the origin of the ingredients. You definetly don't go hungry after this tour. My advice is to not ear prior to the tour so you can have any empty stomach to enjoy all the pizzerias. Thanks Jonh

This was my first time to Chicago and I found this tour to be the highlight of my Chicago expereince. The quality of knowledge provided by John the facilitator was outstanding. He was committed to making you feel welcomed and part of the experience. He was very professional and competent in the field of pizza. The choices selected for our tour was very well thoughtout and informative. I learned a lot about the history and what to look for when selecting certain pizzerias. I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting the City of Chicago.

I found this on a whim off a website. My family Was in the pizza business for 20 years back in Minnesota. It was fantastic to try a variety of different styles that are available in Chicago. Also not for the feint of stomach. It was delicious and filling.

This tour is well worth it, the pizzerias are cool, the pizza is INCREDIBLE and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and entertaining. This tour is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Really enjoyed the pizza...and got to experience some local beer at the same time! Alot of fun and very informative. Would do it again when we come back to visit.

I would highly recommend this tour! The tour guide was friendly and informative!! He truly enjoys what he is doing!! I like that we visited four different types of pizza restaurants!! Each and every one of them was delicious!! I also enjoyed the fact that we were able to get a tour (via bus) of the beautiful city of Chicago as we went from one place to the next! I've already recommended this tour to my friends and family!! See you again soon!!

I thought the pizza tour was fantastic. Lots of great information and history on Chicago pizza and Chicago in general. John was an excellent tour guide. The pizzeria selection was great. I liked that it provided the opportunity to try deep dish as well as other kinds of Chicago pizza. My group of friends from Wisconsin enjoyed that the tour took us out into the city, providing an opportunity to experience more than just the downtown area. As a local periodically organizing activities for visiting friends and family it's great to have something available like the Chicago PIzza tour. I'll definitely be back!

Each pizza was equally delicious in it's own way. Before each meal we were given a what to expect, what the pizza was composed of and what to look for (ingredients) in each pizza. Not all pizzas are created equal. This really made you think about the look, feel and taste of each. It is very apparent that a lot of time consuming research was put into this tour. We learned so much about the history of some of the establishments we visited and the process of making the pizza and how the ingredients can differ. We toured some of the kitchens and talked to a few of the pizza makers, while they made our pizza. Jon the owner of the company was our guide and you know and feel that he is doing what he loves to do. If you love Chicago pizza like I do you will love this tour. There is nothing better in my book. We really enjoyed ourselves!!

We signed up for the Pizza and Cocktails tour. We had a small group just us and another couple who were actually from Chicago. Being locals you would figure they have been to some of them but they had never been to the pizza restaurants we went to. The tour made 4 stops. We were able to try different styles of pizza from deep dish to thin crust and there was plenty of food. Our tour includes the cocktails and there were a large selection of beers to choose from at each restaurant. If you wanted to see more of the city then I would suggest the day tour. This is a night tour and you can't see much of the city. At the end of the tour we were asked which pizza we liked the most? It was to hard to select one because each were so different from the other. A good time and would be enjoyed from those young and old!

Pizza was all very very good, Mike our guide was informative, funny and very cool, but having the AC out in the van was very much the opposite of cool, especially on a day temperatures hit the high 90s. Ughhh.

Boring. Not much history or a story of why the pizza is unique/ different past the first location.
