I thought I'd be a big fan of all the different Chicago pizza types. However, the only thing our group of 4 determined from this tour is that Chicago pizza blows....

Some places the soft drinks were included and others they were not. I wish John had forewarned us of that. It was an entertaining thing to do but I wouldn't do it twice. For $60/person you could normally order a few whole pizzas. However, we realize that some of the money goes to the bus and driver...

I loved the history that was explained at Pizano's. Loved the detail and facts about other kitchens and info about their secrets and styles. The pizza was good and the service was courteous and tour guide informative. While I arrived home full and glutonous (I actually had pizza for dinner!) the whole tour left me wanting more. More facts, more history, more personal stories about owners, more data. I wanted more WOW! I will recommend this to my friends but found that my friends was what made this day truly special. The pizza tour was good, don't get me wrong. But it could have been GREAT with more content. They are very new at this though. I have faith they will grow and learn and develop into greatness, just like our Chicago pizza business has. It's a great concept and great idea so how could it not become great?

This tour was AWESOME. John was a fantastic tour guide - he was very funny, passionate, and knowledgeable about pizza. It was so enjoyable learning the history and story behind each of the pizza places, and you get to see how they make it too. Oh, and the pizzas we had were delicious! ;) This tour is one you don't want to miss!

I would highly recommend the Original Chicago Pizza Tour. Our tour guide, John, was enthusiastic, funny and extremely knowledgeable about not only the different pizzas and pizza restaurants we visited, but also about Chicago in general. We visited four pizza shops, and the pizzas were outstanding at every one. I would highly recommend this tour!

A great way to sample Chicago Pizza. Lots of variety and plenty to eat. I found two of the BEST pizza's I've ever had and intend to go back to those places. Guide and driver were friendly and informative.

Enjoyable afternoon sampling the local cuisine. Selected restaurants provided a variety of pizza options. Would recommend to visitors wanting to sample the best pizza Chicago has to offer.

The pizza tour was great. Truly enjoyed the 4 places we visited; some a little more than others. Great variety of pizza and how it is prepared. I'd never been to Chicago before so appreciated the "talking tour" along the way to learn more about the city. My favorites were #1Pizanos and #2 Pequod. Least favorite was redFlame - it was so cold in there. it would have been better if Pequods had smaller pieces so all could have tried both kinds of pizza. I would definitley take this tour again. I liked that the tour goes to neighborhoods and businesses we probably wouldn't go to on our own. The guide was very friendly and funny. He shared a lot of info about Chicago, each location, and the pizza and ingredients. And all the food was great!

I highly recommend the Chicago pizza tour, not only to tourists, but locals, and suburbanites, as well. Purchased tickets for my hubby's birthday, and as a pizza lover, and foodie, to say he enjoyed it, would be an understatement. Not only do you get a tour of some of The best pizzerias in Chicago, but our guide also gave us a little tour of the city, and Chicago itself. The pizza was delicious, and the way they describe the process of making the pizza, down to the type of cheese, the sauce, how it is cooked, grilled, etc., you can't wait to sink your teeth into that first slice. If you get the opportunity to go....DO IT!

Chicago Pizza Tours does a great job overall. The tour not only gave us an opportunity to taste different styles of pizza but Mike gave us a little history about the city of Chicago. We certainly got our money's worth with the food and the history and they take you to a few neighborhood spots that you didn't know existed. We had a wonderful time as we are pizza lovers so this was a great time for us and it was something different. The only suggestion I would make is that either the tour has the menus or the restaurants are more aggressive in passing them out as we left one spot and forgot to get a menu so we didn't know what other choices they had because our pizza's were chosen for us. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
