A wonderful Tour to do on a Saturday
Sat, Apr 20  11:00 AM CarenSenn Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Being out of town (California) gave me the disadvantage as to where to eat 'the best' Chicago pizza. By joining this tour, my taste buds were in the hands of John, a Chicago local and tour owner. I was not disappointed. The tour took us to four amazing places, each using unique ingredients and styles of baking this amazing pie. I even went back on a later day to my favorite pizza place from the tour. I would recommend this tour to any out-of-towner or local. Add this tour to your 'things to do in Chicago' list. You won't regret it.

We have already recommended this tour to friends and will continue to do so! Whether you're a local or visiting the area, it's the perfect way to celebrate Chicago. The pizza was incredible, with each place serving it's own unique pizza. Just as we thought we were too full to eat our last slice, our group enjoyed it so much, we joked about pitching in for yet another pizza! John is an amazing host and wealth of fun information. We'd like to go on the pizza & cocktail tour with a group of friends! And yet another tour with our kids. There's no reason to delay, pick your date and book a tour!

Me & my husband travelled to Chicago from Nova Scotia Canada to watch a Hockey & Baseball game. (ages 39 & 36 ) We booked the Chicago Pizza tours after reading the reviews on trip advisor & we were not disappointed. This was our first night in Chicago, as well as our first visit to Chicago. Kevin was out tour guide & he was awesome. He gave us some great history & lots of info about not only Pizza but Chicago itself. Would strongly recommend this tour to the Pizza lovers out there. We also met a nice couple from Ontario & had night of great laughs & had a full belly of Pizza & beer :)

This tour was amazing!! This pizza was fantastic and the tour guide was funny as well as knowledgable. I like the fact that you don't only go to the well known pizzerias (although there are some on the list). You get the inside scoop to where the Chicago natives like to go. I would reccomend this to anybody. Just make sure you bring an appetite :))

Chicago Pizza Tour

We go to Chicago a lot and try different pizza places. We planned on going to Pizano's in Chicago, but I found a pizza tour that visited it plus three others. I figured we would kill 4 in one shot. We love Lou Malnati's so we figured Pizano's would be good as well. We were not disappointed. They then took us to CoalFire, which is more like New York pizza. I must say that their pizza was very good. It's got the nice semi burnt crust and very good toppings. One was this Andouille type sausage that I found to be very good. Call your cardiologist before eating it, but, hey, it's Chicago. The next place was Pequod's. At this point, I made the mistake of eating too much CoalFire pizza. The CoalFire owner was very generous, so I felt like I needed to eat more. Pequod's is different in the fact that it's mostly bread with a little cheese and sauce. I must admit that the bread is thick but light. If you like bread, you will definitely like Pequod's. Pequod's likes their bread so much, they caramelize cheese right into the crust edge. The last place was Flo and Santo's. For me, it's the typical flat crust pizza cut into squares. They have unique toppings like the Polish pizza and the Italian Beef. I liked the Italian beef because it had a nice spiciness from the giardiniera, but by this time, we were all sick of looking at pizza. I could only stomach about three or four squares. We did this on a Friday during lunch time, so pace yourself and figure that you will not want to eat dinner that evening. The host was very nice and had a lot of info on the pizza places and Chicago in general. If you are a big eater, you will definitely get your money's worth. From there web site, they list 10 places they visit. It would be nice if the tours mentioned where they were going and if they offered to visit different place on different days, but from what the host mentioned, they visit the same ones Fri-Sun. Overall, if you like pizza, the tour is worth it. Just prepare yourself to eat a lot of pizza. The tour takes about 4 hours, but, trust me, you slowly get very full.

The trip coordinator was very accommodating. Keep us moving, good pizza that we wouldn't have normally tried. Had a group of high school seniors. They enjoyed it. Got to use a group discount with 11 of us. Would do it again.
