I am a local and brought my boyfriend and his two buddies from Wisconsin. They had a great time. The tour was fun, informative, and the choices of pizza places were spot on. Great tour for both locals and out-of-towners. |

The tour was great!
Our tour guide, Mike, and the bus driver were very friendly and informative. The pizza locations are spread around town, so you get to see different neighborhoods on the tour.
Would highly recommend. |

We had a great time eating pizza and enjoying our family with the dinner conversations you would like to have but life is too fast to actually do. We could relax and stuff ourselves with pizza. It was interesting to taste many kinds of pizza that are so different from the traditional pizza we think about. Once you eat pizza from all the places you won't want another bite of food for a very long time. Our whole family (children 13 and 11) enjoyed this tour and would like to do another food tour when we return to Chicago. Our family would recommend this tour. |

I have eaten a lot of pizza in my many trips to Chicago including all the traditional places - Giordano's, Lou Malnati's, Nancy's - so I wanted something a little more interesting for my latest trip. The tour was impressive both with the varied types of pizza (not just deep-dish) and the pizza history of Chicago. There was plenty to eat at each stop, and the tour drives you outside the loop into interesting neighborhood places. I recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza and wants a BIG lunch with a fun history lesson. |

We had a larger group with people that were local as well as out of state and all of us enjoyed it! Gave us a chance to see a little bit of the city, eat some great pizza, and learn a little history! Was something different, none of us have ever experienced an outing like this before. Everyone in our group agreed that this was a great idea and it something we would do again and would recommend people to do it as well. |

Our family (grown children and young married) thoroughly enjoyed the pizza tour. We have recently moved to the Chicago area and have not had a chance to do much exploration. This tour was well planned and the pizza was very enjoyable. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and approachable with any question. It was a fun time. |

This was a very nice tour. The tour itself was well run. The guide was knowledgable and enthusiastic. The bus rides between venues were comfortable enough, and time allotted for travel and eating were well proportioned.
There is plenty of pizza to eat and the tour tries to accommodate peoples preferences for toppings. My fellow tour-goers were also pleasant and enthusiastic.
As for the pizza itself, sorry, I'm a little biased coming from New York. Not that the pizza was bad, in fact it was pretty good. But the regional preference for Deep Dish or thin crust Bar Pies, did not really grab me as I anticipated. My favorite was at CoalFire, a Neapolitan-Style pie. Figures the owners are East -Coast transplants from MA. Yes, my pizza palate is discriminating enough to understand the nuances of these fine establishments, the tour is trying to elucidate. But as I discovered, good pizza is pretty much just that, good pizza. Three stops would have been sufficient for my wife and I.
In summary, I would definitely recommend the Original Chicago Pizza Tour. It's a nice way for an out-of -towner like myself to visit some non-touristy, neighborhood joints, may locally famous in their own right. Just be prepared to eat a lot of reasonably good pizza. |

My Husband and I went on the evening Pizza and Cocktails Tour. The food was great and we had a good group. It was a lot of fun sampling different styles of pizza, traveling from place to place in dough force one and meeting other couples from all over the world. The one suggestion I would make is that it would be nice if the evening tour included a little bit more information about the different pizza making techniques and it was a tad dissapointing that we only got to see one of the kitchens (coalfire-which is sort of an open kitchen tapaus style anyways) rather than the advertized two kitchen tours. But all things considered, we had a good time and would recommend the experiance. |

Great experience all around. My girlfriend and I are foodies and did it as a way to explore what Chicago pizza was all about. It was a great way to learn about the different styles and history of pizza in Chicago while getting stuffed on some great food. I enjoyed all four of the places we visited and was pleased to see each one even had a decent beer selection. The guide and driver were both professional but fun and whole experience was really just very solid. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago and wanting to check out the pizza scene. Going in I was worried that it would be good but not worth the price but afterwards I was satisfied with what I got for my money. |
