Great Tour

Had a great time and you should not change anything. I had an idea for you about getting gift cards set up. Pizza tours sound like a great gift to give couples or individuals.

a great time whether you are a local or tourist

I had a great time on this tour and am a native Chicagoan. The pizzerias were all great but Italian Fiesta was my least favorite. Pizanos was amazing! Jon was a great tour guide, he is a wealth of Chicago knowledge and has a great sense of humor. The bus was super comfortable (no parking worries or fees- hooray!) And even the driver was great. The cost is a good deal but bring your appetitie and PACE yourself. It is a lot to eat. We took an 11 am tour and didn't eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this tour. It is a great way to spend a weekend afternoon!

Great tour, best of all worlds for locals/visitors

Had a group of family and friends (some local, some visitors) take the Pizza Tour, we had an absolute blast. The tour wasn't just about pizza, we (even locals) learned a lot along the way about the areas we toured in Chicago. The tour guide was very informative and hilarious as well. All 4 places we went for pizza were new to me and all had a different style of pizza from the others. All of us left the tour stuffed, and happy with our day. Might do it again next time I have visitors in town.

This was a fantastic tour. Jon was a funny and personable guide that fed our minds with some food and Chicago history and our stomachs with some different and delicious Chicago pizza. I would recommend this tour to any pizza fan, whether they are from here or just visiting.

We had a great time on the Original Chicago Pizza Tour - which took us 'off the beaten track' and outside the main core of Chicago! Our guide was fun and knows his city and its pizza! This was a highlight of our trip and our group of three highly recommends it.

The pizza tour was truly amazing our guide was so dedicated and took us to such amazing places. The price was truly worth it and the fact the guide took time to acknowledge my fiance's birthday with a deep dish cookie was so special. A great time was had by all and I will tell my mates when they come to Chicago for my wedding to take the Chicago Pizza Tour, Warren.

Great Tour! Amazing pizza!

This tour was so much fun. My friends and I like pizza and figured it would be a fun Sunday idea over Memorial day. We googled Chicago Pizza Tours and found the bus drivin tour (there was also a walking tour on google but didnt seem like that one could hit the great Chicago pizza places). It was easy to buy tickets online through Zerve and we brought our confirmation to the tour on Sunday. The tour guide was really passionate about pizza (how its made, ingredients, history, etc) and he also had fun and interesting facts of Chicago to tell along the way driving on the bus. The tour was 3 hours long and we hit up 4 pizza places with more than 1 piece at each pizzeria. I did not go hungry :) I would take this tour again when friends come in town to visit. Great time and great food!

PIZZA SHORTAGE

I was very disappointed that there was not enough pizza. I felt very short changed when they started slicing the sausage slices in half. Order an extra small and give everyone a FULL SLICE....It came across as very CHEAP. Besides for that, the owner was very knowledgeable and the tour was fun.

great pizza tour

Not only were we given a history of each restaurant and how the restaurant makes it's pizza, but we were given information about Chicago's history. This tour showed how unique pizza is to the philosophy and cooking skills of each restaurant and the background of the owners. Our entire group would highly recommend this tour not only to out-of-towners but to Chicagoans as well. We did have a problem with the driver of the bus. He was distracted from his driving by his repeated use of his cellphone because of this his driving was unsafe--cutting off other vehicles, riding over curbs. The driver's cellphone usage overpowered John's talking. We paid to hear John, the guide--not the driver! Overall, a great tour.

Jon, (the pizza king) is the best, taking us around different neighborhoods, giving us some history on the city, not to mention the food itself; we left nice and full.

This was pretty awesome! Booked with a couple of buddies and it was exactly what it said it was... we spent about 3 hours eating different pizzas which were all great. The other guests on the tour were from San Fran, and South Bend and we all got along great and even started ordering the Goose Islands at stop #3 & #4. For a while I forgot we were on a tour since we were just sitting at restaurants eating, drinking, and talking pizza. John told us a ton about the different restaurants style and why they tasted the way they did. Overall, very enjoyable and since I am originally from Michigan and have friends and family visit, they are always bugging me for things to do and I can't wait to tell them to take this.

Another couple took this tour with us and we all had a FABULOUS time! We got a great start on our day by eating tasty pizza at 4 different places, and were given so much information about 1. Pizza Places 2. Their ingredients & techniques 3. Chicago sights and general info. The day was an overload of information about those 3 subjects which was not lost because of... THE HANDY PIZZA PEN & NOTEBOOK! Very nice touch, along with a map of our 16+ mile trip. Pizzas were outstanding and our group had a great time and continued on at Millennium Park afterwards.

Great pizza and a great time

Tour was great! I had plenty of pizza to the point where I couldn't eat anymore. Each pizza was very different at each location which I enjoyed very much. Also, I learned a lot about the city of Chicago in general with the facts that the tour guide provided during the tour around the city. I had a great time and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Enjoyed the Tour

We very much enjoyed the Pizza Tour. It was a pleasure meeting John and we thought that he was very enthusiastic about the tour and was very knowledgeable. He wanted to make sure to know each person's name and where they were from to make it a more personable experience. If there was anything I would have changed about the tour was our 2nd stop. The pizza was fantastic, the information regarding the area and the fact that it was the President's favorite place was great, but having to stand inside a take-out pizzeria and hold your plates and have John hold the box of pizza in order to dish it out was not the best. Getting the pizza to go and sitting at a local park or someplace else would have been a much better experience. All in all, we were very glad we took the tour and had a very enoyable time.
