Seller Description:
Chef, former Philly restaurateur and Penn Grad, Robert Weinberg, along with fellow Tour Director Eric Matzke, are well versed in all things food and Center City. You'll be sure to have a great introduction to Cheese, Prosciutto, Chorizo, Pates, and Craft Beers in this delicious Center City adventure.
Robert was a co-owner of the acclaimed restaurant, Beyond Measure, on Sansom St. during the mid-90's. He is active with the non-profit MANNA, which feeds homebound people with life-threatening illnesses, cooking in their kitchen part-time.
Eric has lived in the city for more than 11 years and has extensive teaching and tour-guide experience. He also completed a number of culinary classes at The Philadelphia Restaurant School.

During this entertaining and delicious 2-hour event, you and Dad will sample the city's best artisanal beers and hand-crafted foods, including: - A tasting flight of 8 superior craft beers representing a vast range of styles, served right on-site at one of Philadelphia's best local microbreweries
- A selection of decadent imported cheeses
- A sampling of the finest prosciutto di Parma, tangy chorizo and sumptuous pates
You'll explore how the foods are made, meet the culinary experts and chefs who prepare them, and learn what to look for in truly great food. At the first of two great venues, you will have the exclusive opportunity to enjoy the cheese and meat tasting in the chef's kitchen!
The event will end in one of the city's premier microbreweries, so feel free to stick around and enjoy some appetizers, drinks, or even dinner after the event. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a pint of the beer you liked most during the tasting!

With less than 15 minutes of walking, this event is relaxing and enjoyable for participants of any age and ability.
What Is Not Included?
You must provide your own transportation to and from the tour.
Be sure to bring extra cash or a credit card if you plan on eating or drinking at the restaurant at the end of the tour.
Since beer is the only drink included on this tour, you might want to bring along a bottle of water, too!
