Seller Description:
Chef, former Philly restaurateur and Penn Grad, Robert Weinberg, along with guides Eric & Rachel, are well versed in all things food and Center City. They'll teach you about everything from tea leaves to tempering chocolate in this delicious Center City adventure.
Robert was a co-owner of the acclaimed restaurant, Beyond Measure, on Sansom St. during the mid-90's. He is active with the non-profit MANNA, which feeds homebound people with life-threatening illnesses, cooking in their kitchen part-time.
Eric has lived in the city for more than 11 years and has extensive teaching and tour-guide experience. He also completed a number of culinary classes at The Philadelphia Restaurant School.

Welcome the spring by joining City Food Tours for this unique food-tasting experience, inspired by the beautiful flowers of the 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show, "Jazz It Up."
Treat your tastebuds to a culinary adventure as you explore the heart of Philadelphia during this seasonal celebration of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz, and its wondrous gardening creations. This very special public walking tour is only available for a limited time, as it will only be offered while the flower show is in town.
On this 2.5-hour tour, you'll sample some of the city's best artisanal and hand-crafted foods that mix botanicals with exotic and delicious ingredients, including:
- Tea made with violets
- Lavender-dusted goat cheese
- Citrus-infused chocolates
In addition to trying these delicacies and more on our "jazzed up" food tour, you'll find out how the foods are made, meet the culinary experts who prepared them, and learn what to look for in truly great food.
Tours are perfect for individuals, couples, families and out-of-town guests!
What Is Not Included?
You must provide your own transportation to and from the tour.
Bottled water is not included. Guests may fill their bottles at certain sites. However, other beverage samples will be offered on most tours.
