| Despite the drizzle/rain, the tour was a good overview of the area through history, food and ethnicity. The other tour members from the Tenement Museum were an added treat. |

| Did not like this tour at all. Food choices, order at which they are placed in the tour, and the quantities are definitely below expectations. I did the Greenwich village tour and believe me, it is worth every penny.
This one definitely needs some work to make it better.

| My wife & I were visiting NYC for our 26th anniversary. We'd been on typical bus tours. This was different. We enjoyed the insight our tour guide provided about the cultural & historical background of the areas: Irish, Jewish, beat, etc. and especially liked visiting the neighborhood shops & specialties: the pickle maker, the bialys maker, the super fresh ground coffee shop, the "wild" flavored gelato maker, the terrific donut maker--my wife liked the carrot cake donut the best, the chocolatier who kept giving us more samples, and the cheese maker shop, etc. and sampling their wares while they explained how they produced them. We got a good sense of the places and neighborhoods we visited. It was obvious that the relationship between our tour guide and each of the shop owners was strong and well established. We felt as if we were just moving into the neighborhood and being introduced to & welcomed by everyone.
Very personalized tour. All our questions were answered even if a little bizarre. The tour was never hurried, but was well paced. We have already told our family & friends about it, even those who have visited NYC before were interested. |

| We took the lower East Side tour and Jennifer was a plethora of info!! We lucked out and had her all to ourselves (it was a little rainny). A culinary grad and private chef!! Can't beat that. We came all the way from San Diego and were not dissapointed. The Pickle Guys were the bomb diggidy! We'll try one of the other tours next time. Later dudes! |

| I live in New York, and eat out a lot, so I consider myself quite knowledgeable about the culinary treats in certain parts of the city. But this tour showed me multiple beautiful local venues I've never seen before. The food was great, but I would not recommend it if you are not open to culinary novelties. The tour guide was great. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, since she is a trained chef. So if you want to talk about great food as well, she's the right one for you. Me and my girlfriend ended up buying a couple good things at Essex Street Market to continue the culinary adventurous day. All in all a great date, but perfect to do with friends as well. |

| of the 2 hours, 45 minutes were at one end of the food court teaching us about chocolate and cheese..while interesting, the tour was described on the internet as a food oriented tour of the lower east side...didnt get a very good understanding of the area..food stops ok but we have been on several other food tours which we have thoroughly enjoyed and this wasnt in the same league..when we brought up suggestions to the tour guide(who happened to be the owner), she was defensive and not interested in our ideas...she also was on her blackberry repeatedly during the tour..all in all, not a great experience |

| This tour, with stops at excellent local food merchants around the Lower East Side, was a fantastic way to become excited about a part of the city that I don't know too much about. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was very informative and came across as genuinely enthusiastic about the food we sampled and the fascinating people behind the counter. I heartily recommend this tour not only for visitors to New York, but also those who call it home, because there's always something to discover in our great city. |

| Our tour guide was Jennifer. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for this tour made the experience perfect for us. In fact, she even remembered it was our 18th wedding anniversary that day. She made time for each tour member's questions and was ready to make sure we had a perfect experience.
I will use the tour company on my return trip to NYC.
