| Our tour guide was wonderful. Assumed the tour was to go around and have tastings, however, it was very informative and a great way to enjoy the lower east side while learning about it's history. Will probably do it again........... | ||||||

| We enjoyed our tour of the lower east side of NYC. This was our third food tour through Zerve and we really enjoy them. It's a great way to learn about the neighborhoods and a good chance to taste local foods. Nicole was our guide and she did an excellent job. My only suggestion would be to provide water. The other two tours I had there, as well as a food tour in Charleston all provided a bottle of water, so I didn't bother to bring any. With all the nibbling you do get thirsty. Otherwise nice job. | ||||||

| every time my family comes to visit me in nyc we do a food tour. we have done many thus far and stumble onto your site. the tour guide was great and i highly recommend her. she was both knowledgable and fun to talk with. the tour in general was short as we only visited 6 places where the other tours i have taken we visited 10 plus places and sampled much more food and got much more history of the area for around same price. i would def do your tour again...but there was not enough food sampling and only hit a 6 places which is not enough. also the other tours provided us with a map and list of all places visited with address and information. they also provided us all with one bottle of water per person. i would recommend doing that as it makes a difference especially when it is hot and when you have to wash down all the different foods. my family ended up buying 8 bottles of water while on this tour as we were thirsty and needed especailly to wash down all chocolate comsumed. i will sign up for another tour with you in hopes that we visit more places and get more information other wise i would not try the others. thanksl. | ||||||

| i am a native new yorker who has been thru the LES many times but not like this. it was a nice approach to the history, which was different then i thought. The food was good but could have been a little more extensive. Too snack like. Tastings from Katz's or another deli would have been a better feel then just a piece of bialy. Donuts were good but didnt give authenticity to the neighborhood. Chinese and Italian tastings would have melded better. I would definetly do another tour as the tour guide was informative and had great energy. If looking for a real taste of New York this was just ok. | ||||||

| Really enjoyed it - and so did my children ages 11 & 13. Very interesting area of NYC, just enough history smattered in with the food sampling. Our guide Susan was well prepared and knowledgeble of the area and food. Next time we visit NYC we will certainly take another food tour. | ||||||

| Our guide Nicole was informative and pleasant. The food was wonderful, and we were full after the tour. Doughnuts, bialys, pickles, gelato, pizza, and more. I liked that the tour combined visits to long-established food shops and new shops that exemplify the best product of its type in the Lower East Side. I would also have enjoyed additional visits to old shops, but sadly, they evidently no longer exist. I was not impressed by the chocolate shop in the Essex Street Market; maybe there are better examples of chocolate in that area?? Would it be possible to include Streit Matzo on Rivington in the tour if their products are artisan quality? They've been in business since 1925, and part of the tour was on Rivington. It would be helpful to have a one-sheet small map handout that highlights the Lower East Side area. I'm glad I went and will definitely sign up for another when I return to NYC. | ||||||

| I have been on several food tours and found this tour to be more more about 'food.' If you are a 'foodie' this tour might be of more interest to you. It cannot be compared to the Greenwich Village Tour and the Chelsea Market Tour which were so full of extremely interesting history that I am still talking about. The food was a very welcome and fun part of those two tours, but the history is what made the tour so terrific and memorable. It was still an enjoyable day and I would definitely go back for another tour next year, but I would make sure it is more history based. | ||||||

| Nicole conducted an informative fun tour, without the sappy jokes we normally hear on a tour. She taught us so much about local flavors of the city. We wish her the best of luck in the future!! | ||||||

| The description of the artisan food and preparers, as well as the history and current event (context) of the area (Lower East Side) was a great experience. Our guide was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. | ||||||

| Our leader, Laura, was friendly and enthusiastic, but the tour was light on actual information about the history of the area and about the food itself. in 2 of the 7 places we stopped, the samples we got were the same as anyone coming into the place could get. The Vietnamese sandwich and the Italian cheeses were fantastic. OVerall a pleasant two hours but it didn't seem worth the $46. | ||||||

| Our tour guide ( I think her name was Nicole) was absolutely fantastic! She was very informative, friendly and fun! She had lots of knowledge about the Lower East Side and all the food we tried was amazing. Not sure if the price equalled the value of stops at the end of the day - a few more items would have made it more worthwhile. Also, the 5$ gift we purchased for our friend was an extra donught which was valued at about $3. Would definitely classify this trip as pricey but I was pleasantly pleased with the experience. | ||||||
