The tour was enjoyable. I was with 2 first time visitors to NY and they said they were really glad that we did the tour. It gave them a chance to see another side of the city.

The tour was just about perfect. Being from Philly and somewhat dissappointed in how the city is run this tour is an EXCELLENT marketing tool for the city. It was a perfect blend of history, getting a feel for a city, trying and learning about the different foods. The guide is funny and very knowledgeable. I have already recommended to a lot of my coworkers and freinds in DC. REally glad to see this type of thing in Philly.

Whether you go as a single, couple, or group you are sure to have fun on this informative and fun adventure. The host is very friendly and quickly sets the tone for the afternoon. From there you learn a little bit about the foods you are trying and then the treats are served. Overall, this was a great experience and definitely worth going to.

I went on the food lovers tour with my girlfriend and I recommend it to anyone that wants to spend a nice afternoon. The cost is about the same as a nice dinner, but we tried several things and more importantly, learned something! The service was excellent, nothing to complain about at all. Very knowledgeable people at the stops as well as the tour guide.

I took the Philadelphia Food Lovers Tour headed by our knowledgeable and friendly guide Robert. It was an afternoon filled with delectable, tasty treats and also some fun and informative lectures. First we visited Capo Giro, a lovely center city gelateria that is quickly becoming a center city mainstay. There we put our taste buds to the test by participating in a blind taste test of that mornings fresh made batches of gelato. Next we walked over to Teuscher's Chocolate where we sampled some of the finest Swiss chocolate. Including their champagne truffles made with scrumptiously smooth chocolate and Dom Perignon. We ended the tour at Philly's famed DiBruno Bros. where a cheese monger gave us a lengthy lecture punctuated by lots of samples of their most delicious cheeses. It was a highly enjoyable afternoon and I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes the finer things in life!

I scheduled this as a surprise for my husband one afternoon. I was looking for an activity that would be different from our normal sunday afternoons and was not expensive. This exceeded my expectations! The tour guides were friendly and entertaining. They could do a little better in crowd management but overall we enjoyed their company. The three stops on the tour were fun. We had actually been to all 3 but it was great to hear someone educated talk about the products. We particularly enjoyed one stop (cheese) because the representative was extremely knowledgeable and a good salesman. I would like to see the company expand their options a bit in the future - a philadelphia cheese steak tour would be fun! Or how about doing charcuterie in the Italian Market? There's also opportunities to partner with area restaurants and do tastings at say Caribbean restaurants on South Street. My suggestions aside, Center-City Food Lovers did a really nice job and I highly recommend this!

I highly recommend City Food Tours to anyone who has an appreciation of food, culinary traditions, or even just of walking cities. The tour leader, Robert, was witty and informative, very knowledgeable, and a charming guide to the city. In addition, the locations selected for the tour (Capogiro Gelato, Teuser Chocolates, and DiBruno Bros) were excellent and very gracious to provide samples.

I was delighted to attend the City Food Tour in Philadelphia. The guide Robert Weinberg was highly knowledgeable and entertaining. Robert made the whole group feel as though we were one big family. The tour was not only informative but also fun. The venues selected were amazing: artisan gelato, Swiss chocolate and artisan cheese! I'm strongly recommending this tour to my friends and family.

We did enjoy the tour. The pictures were not really necessary,although informative, it made us kind of feel like we were on a field trip from school and not a fun date. The T-Bar and DiBruno brothers were good stops. The staff was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the product. We learned alot on these two excursions. The chocolate place was nice but I felt like they were selling the product vs educating us on the product. I think it would be great to add at least one more stop and take out alot of the talk by the guide. We also are not in the city often, even though I work in the Macy's building, but would have enjoyed having the guide point out or talk about local restaurants or stops that would be fun stops for foodies. I was on the tour with an unwilling participant (my husband who wanted to just eat lunch) and at the end he also said he enjoyed the stops - especially the cheese.

My parents, who are not from the area, and I had a truly enjoyable time on this tour. We had plenty of high quality food and drink samples. The knowledge of the tour guides and the workers at each destination was extensive. I love the fact that each made learning about fine foods a visual experience having tea leaves, cheese bricks and photos that accompany the verbal information. As a Philly resident, it was nice to be introduced to places I have never been. The tour guides had a relaxed and casual demeanor which made asking questions a breeze. I would definitely consider attending another one of their tours. Although the website provided limited information about this event, I am glad I took the risk. I left the event extremely pleased.

The tour I went on was the "Chocolate Lovers" so I expected to experience lots of chocolate but we went to only one chocolate shop, coffee shop and a gelato shop. Although we only went to one chocolate shop, I had the most amazing and best chocolate I ever had in my life called Nama; I would never had discover this amazing chocolate if it wasn't for this tour. I think it would had been better if I had experience more chocolates and samples. But overall it was something nice and different to do in the city.

My friends and I spent an absolutely delightful morning with Conrad, our tour guide sampling the hidden culinary delights of the Lower East Side. It was fun to talk to the business owners and taste chocolates, cheeses and other confections. Conrad was knowledgeable and personable. Lots of fun!
