| The tour was fun. It offered several insider tips about the show and getting to meet one of the stars at her restaurant was the highlight! | ||||||

| We were a small group of eight people, three sets of mothers and daughters and one young married couple. Our tour leader, Nicole, was great. She was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. By the end of the afternoon we all felt as if we had known each other for years! We visited chocolatiers, bakeries, one homemade ice cream truck and two wine shops. The shop owners were friendly and were more than willing to answer any questions we had. We will definitely book another tour. | ||||||

| The Center City Food Tour is not only a great way to sample delicious treats, it is also an opportunity to learn more about food and even about Center City! Robert was an excellent tour guide, providing knowledge and humor all along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and I recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys food and is interested in learning more about it. I recommend doing it with at least one other person. | ||||||

| Although our guide was very friendly and well-intentioned, this tour was a big disappointment. When I think of a food tour, I imagine: 1) visiting a lot of places, 2) discovering places I have never encountered before, and 3) eating a lot. None of these were true of this tour. We visited only three places, none of which was unusual, outstanding, or particularly unique. And, very little food was offered (unless you want to pay extra for it!). One should not go home hungry after a food tour!!! The three establishments (a candy store, a deli with some cheeses, and a coffee shop) were unremarkable. The chocolate shop had exactly what one imagines in a chocolate shop and nothing more and nothing interesting. Give me some truffles with cardamom or chocolate bark with blood orange peel. No, instead it was all vanilla buttercreams. The cheeses at the cheese shop were fine but ordinary: gouda, stilton, cheddar, and brie. And I don't drink coffee! Beyond all of this, most of the time on the tour was dedicated to 1) listening to lectures about how chocolate, cheese, and coffee are made (I can read about this on my own time) and 2) allowing us to buy stuff at the stores. What a waste! The same time at Reading terminal or DiBruno's would have been much better. As a native Philadelphian, one does not learn anything new on this tour. | ||||||

| We really enjoyed our recent Center City tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the places we visited were great! I would recommend it to friends who have an interest in food and finding out about how things are made, where they come from and how to best enjoy them. It's a great way to spend an afternoon walking and sampling various foods and beverages. We really loved the Naked Chocolate Cafe! | ||||||

| Klarisa (sp) met us with a very friendly way about her, and her informative, cordial and helpful tone carried through the tour. We enjoyed our little snacks throughout the East Village and would recommend it to friends here in NJ. Thank you! | ||||||

| We all had a delightful time with our very knowledgable guide. The 6 places we visited were small and would have been overlooked easily by us on our own. There were truly very special places with tastes very unique and delicious also. T he tour was what I hoped for and more and worth the price! | ||||||

| I loved the tour! Our guide ( Liz ) was very nice and gave very interesting presentations for the cheese, chocolate and gelatis we sampled. The merchants were also friendly and informative. I would highly recommend these tours to food lovers or as just a different, fun activity. | ||||||

Not your typical NYC tour

| My wife & I were visiting NYC for our 26th anniversary. We'd been on typical bus tours. This was different. We enjoyed the insight our tour guide provided about the cultural & historical background of the areas: Irish, Jewish, beat, etc. and especially liked visiting the neighborhood shops & specialties: the pickle maker, the bialys maker, the super fresh ground coffee shop, the "wild" flavored gelato maker, the terrific donut maker--my wife liked the carrot cake donut the best, the chocolatier who kept giving us more samples, and the cheese maker shop, etc. and sampling their wares while they explained how they produced them. We got a good sense of the places and neighborhoods we visited. It was obvious that the relationship between our tour guide and each of the shop owners was strong and well established. We felt as if we were just moving into the neighborhood and being introduced to & welcomed by everyone. Very personalized tour. All our questions were answered even if a little bizarre. The tour was never hurried, but was well paced. We have already told our family & friends about it, even those who have visited NYC before were interested. | ||||||

| My friend and I have previously taken the Chelsea Market walking tour and this tour didn't even compare. Nearly every business we visited was so small we couldn't go inside and there were only 6 of us on the tour. We weren't able to see how the food was prepared and served. The tour guide was informative but not especially engaging. Two thumbs down!! | ||||||

| I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, one of the owners, was knowledgable, personable, and very understanding of the limitations of our group. The three stops were charming, and a food lovers delight. I would definitely recommend this tour and hope to experience others in the future. | ||||||
