Great tour

We really enjoyed this one.... The food was great, especially Jeffrey's dinner to go! Jeffrey is a little colorful, so if you have small children, keep them out of earshot of the adult language...

The young lady that conducted the tour was very interesting and knew her fields. We were taken to very interesting places and really enjoyed. Thank you - we will recommend this tour to our friends.

This was a very enjoyable tour. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The participants were of all ages many in there 20's and others were older. There was a variety of different chocolate shops, bakeries , dessert, ice cream and wine stores and they were well chosen. There was not too much walking, most stops were within 2-5 blocks. I would love to do another tour someday.

I was able to get tickets for my girlfriend's birthday and we had THE most amazing time on the tour! It was the perfect length and the guide kept us involved the entire time. It was worth every penny as we were able to try so many delicious treats at every stop. If you have a sweet tooth and a taste for fine wine, then this tour is for you!

If you love food, this is a must do tour. Nicole is the best. Her passion for food is only equaled to her deep interest in the NoLita area we toured, and it must be said that she is very knowledgeable about food, we can't wait to take another tour with her. It was a real pleasure, and so much fun. The food was the perfect mix of ethnic dishes and NY favorites and we were introduced to a level of flavors that were top notch. The tour included an infamous cheesecake, hand made candy, the most mouth watering quiche I've ever had, and my new favorite pizza (DOC certified, Wow). Not even Hurricane Hannah could have ruined the day, thru that storm we followed Nicole along the most delicious tour we've ever taken. Our thanks to Nicole, and to all the restaurants we stopped at along the way.

Robert was the best tour guide. Very knowledgeable, humorous and made everyone feel comfortable. The places we visited were fun. Loved Dibruno's best. I had heard so much about Naked Chocolate that I was a little disappointed we didn't get to taste some of their baked goods or hot chocolate. Liked the coffee guy a lot. Very informative and nice.

Great tour of local spots

Hello. My sister (27), mother, and I have been to Manhattan many, many times. However, we always feel we eat at the same type of spots. This walking tour took us to a new area. WIth the wonderful help our our fabulous tour guide, we learned the history of the area we were in as well as tasting great local spots. The food was delicious, and exactly what we wanted out of a two hour tour. The walk was not strenuous at all, which was great news for our feet. I would completely recommend this tour to any local or tourist who wants to spend a small amount of money for a great two hours of fun and food!

A 5-star experience!

We enjoyed an excellent tour of the changing Lower East Side and the local artisanal food vendors found in this area. Not only did we sample tasty, quality food & drink (the coffee at The Roasting Plant was out of this world for this java-junkie) and chatted with proprietors, but we also learned the history of the LES and how this neighborhood has evolved. It still retains a great local flavor and vibrancy with the mix of artists, the food artisans and the long time residents. This tour was very family friendly (my child loved the hand-made ice cream), not at all strenuous, suitable for both locals and tourists and was a different, enjoyable way to experience NYC - via great food! Nicole gets 5-stars for being enthusiastic, knowledgeable and extremely patient with the barrage of questions we had. We'd do this tour again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it for everyone.

We attended the Center City Food Lover's Tour last weekend and had a great time! Robert was very knowledgeable and made the tour very fun. It was informal and great to meet all the merchants. This was my second tour with City Food Tours and I'll be back!

I've taken a number of tours around the city with different companies and this one was certainly the most memorable. We snacked our way around the LES and every stop was as enjoyable as the last. Our guide Nicole was so personable and informative. She covered all the bases - from the LES's history, to present culture, and of course the food (as well as the story and people behind each shop!). The ticket cost is worth every penny. The tour blends history, culture, and food - and you certainly don't walk away hungry!
