| We totally enjoyed the tour. Our guide Robert was very informative and made this a day we will be talking about for a long time. We are looking forward to other tours. This is just another reason to travel to Philly. Thank you very much. | ||||||

| Our intelligent, well-informed, personable and enthusiastic guide both educated and delighted us with a wealth of knowledge not only about NYC neighborhood history and lore, but about food preparation and enjoyment as well. | ||||||

Husband and I enjoyed the tour.

| My husband and I are the type who watch Discovery, Food TV, History Channel, etc., so we enjoyed hearing all about the history and the making of the items we sampled. The only downside was that it seemed to go by very quickly. The website gave me the impression we would be visiting all of the places they had listed. I think adding at least one more stop on the tour would make it much more worth the trip. | ||||||

| I attended this event with a friend who had participated in a tour from a competing business in NYC last summer. Based on her experience we expected to be well fed--we were not. The information on the cheese portion of the tour was great, but I have to say, the sliver of the three cheese samples that we received were not even close to adequate for the price of the tour. I could have gotten more samples by asking the cheesemongers to try them myself. The chocolate portion was interesting and we received more samples, but most were pre-mixed samples, and not the final artisinal product. Again, a big disappointment, and unusual, especially if a goal is to get people to buy from the chocolate shop. The person conducting the tour was fun and interesting, but I feel that for the price I should have gotten more. On the tour with the other company--for the same price--my friend tried two pieces of pizza, cheese, breads, entire desserts, and coupons for the stores and restaurants they visited. Since I know how cheese and chocolate are made, I was more interested in tasting and seeing what the local businesses are doing...what makes their products special. I think my expectations were different than what I received. Finally, when asking the presenter for restaurant recommendations, I was surprised that he was not very enthusiastic about sharing what he knew about the local scene. We had asked about a specific restaurant and he did not have much to say about it. He simply mentioned a couple places where he had eaten recently. As a foodie, I expected more information about the local food scene. So.. for someone looking to pass a couple hours walking around the city, I'd say it was okay. But if you want to really sample the local food scene, I would find another business. | ||||||

| Conrad, our tour guide doesn't just tell you facts and stats. He makes the city come to life with interesting stories of the people who make the LES what it is today. I'm use to taking visiting friends on a whirlwind tour of the city, but Conrad took us on an in-depth tour of a few blocks that pulls you away from the tourist traps and into the heart of NYC. Toss your guide book aside! Let Conrad be your gatekeeper to a story that is just as fulfilling as the food you taste. To all the Chocolate lovers out there - Conrad is your man. You will not find this tour in any DIY tour book, it is worth every penny. | ||||||

| I had no idea that there was so much history combined with scrumptous desserts and wine in the Upper West Side. Our guide Nicole, was amazing. Her knowledge of the neighborhood, the the food, the bakers, and the wine really impressed me. Her attitude matched the quality of the food--wonderful--and I can't wait to take another tour of a different area. I was on a date with my boyfriend. I think it would be a good tour for a local, a tourist, a single, a family, or a couple. Everyone seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. The only down side--there were so many sweets I think my heart stopped...very rich food!!! | ||||||

| I think the Center City Food Tours are great! Eric & Robert are fun, entertaining and knowlegeable. Now that I have been on 2 tours, I can say that I prefer the T-bar stop on the tour to the Joe's Coffee stop since (a) I don't care for coffee very much and (b) the history/background of coffee & chocolate are a bit similar so the tea stop keeps it a bit varied as far as the explanations of history/background. I definitely recommend these tours! | ||||||

| Even though the weather was miserable we managed to have a very good time. It was just the right amount of chocolate to wine to cheese ratio. The shops were interesting and everyone was extremely friendly and accomodating. No on made us feel like, Oh, here come the tourists again. We would definitely recommend the tour to friends. Our guide, Nicole was very easy to talk to and was definitely interested in her subject of wine and chocolate. Nicole adjusted the tour to accomodate the weather without sacrificing any of the fun and learning. | ||||||

| My wife and our friend really enjoyed this tour and plan to take the Lower East side one soon. Conrad, our guide, was both knowledgeable and passionate about his subject . He also clearly had an excelent relationship with the merchants we met, ensuring the balance between the needs of the tour and the needs of the merchants was always correct. He was also very generous with his knowledge of the city in general We would recommend this tour to any visitors to the city just for fun. And, as aspiring New Yorkers we felt it helped us become more like locals faster. PS what about a Beer tour? | ||||||
