| Our guide, Nicole, had infectious enthusiasm for food, wine, and how to eat her way through New York. It was the perfect amount of time, the right amount of people. I'd recommend this for adults (the kids would probably get bored and tired), absolutely! | ||||||

| We ended up with a private tour with Nicole. She was awesome! She knew a lot about the history of the area as well as the food we tasted. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this activity! | ||||||

| I went on this tour on a Saturday with our guide Nicole. The two of us were the only ones who scheduled for that so it was like having a private tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly and we were stuffed by the end of it. It was fantastic. I am going to try more of the tours on here. | ||||||

| This was a fantastic experience. My son and I took a 2 hour tour in the NoLita neighborhood. Nicole was very knowledgeable, polite and engaging. I would recommend the tour to anyone. Great food, conversation and places to visit next time we are in NYC. | ||||||

| The tour was great. We got a bite to eat at several different restaurants and shops in the area, all of which make the food on the premises with fresh ingredients. I've never explored this part of Manhattan before, so it was really interesting. My favorite dish was the cilantro chicken sandwich from the Vietnamese place -- I'll definitely be going back there. | ||||||

| This was my second tour with City Food Tours. Our guide was knowledgeable about food, the city and the show. There were even a few games thrown in for fun. It didn't matter that not everyone was familiar with the show. I recommend the tour for anyone who is a fan as well as those looking for an entertaining way to learn more about the city. | ||||||

| Laura was our tour guide and there were only the 3 of us which made it even nicer. We got such a better understanding of the way people live and thrive here. It was so interesting to tour some of the "Mom and Pop" stores. For the most part, the store owners were very helpful and engaging and were very patient answering our questions. Laura, of course, was the highlight of the tour. She is a professional cook, friendly, and was very detailed whenever we were asking advice on cooking or about a store. We learned alot and can't wait to try the Ethnic tasting tour. We will be telling all of our friends about this wonderful experience. Thank you! | ||||||

| I enjoyed the tour which gave me a good overview of food in NY and bits of history of the area. My guide was very into food and we had loads of time to chat over different things foodie :) I would recommend this to anyone visiting NY from overseas as a fun way to get to know a real aspect of New York away from the tourist hum drum. | ||||||

Good local inside info

| We enjoyed this tour, even though we were slightly disappointed that we were only able to taste two wines. We thought there would be more given the title of the tour. The sample sizes at Jacques Torres were really tiny, esp. compared to the other ones we tried. I think the price of the tour is too high, but regardless we still enjoyed ourselves very much and would consider doing another one. | ||||||

| This tour was highly recommened but I found it to be just okay. The tour guide was very informative and very personable. The 9 other people we were with were also friendly. The stops we made on the tour were okay but it wasn't what I was expecting for the price. We only stopped at one wine store. The stop at the gelato store, I felt, was a waste of time. The chocolate shops were very nice but for $55 per person, I was expecting slightly more than half a piece of chocolate. My suggestion would be to get rid of the gelato store stop and add another wine store stop. And possibly increase the size of the samples. I wasn't expecting a full meal or even anything close but what we got seemed a little chinchy. So I'd give the tour a 3 out of 5. Glad I did it, but I wouldn't do it again. | ||||||

| Did not like this tour at all. Food choices, order at which they are placed in the tour, and the quantities are definitely below expectations. I did the Greenwich village tour and believe me, it is worth every penny. This one definitely needs some work to make it better. Tony | ||||||

A Fun Taste of New York! PIZZA!!
|

| Our group of three people greatly enjoyed the food tour. Our guide, Kalisa, was very knowledgeable and personable........it was obvious that she was a "foodie" herself and her enthusiasm was contagious. We've been looking for the quintessential NY pizza experience that we remember from when we were kids.......and finally found it on this tour! I highly recommend this tour and can't wait to go on another one next year. | ||||||

GREAT AFTERNOON IN THE EAST VILLAGE!!

| TERRIFIC MUNCHING IN THE EAST VILLAGE! It's so easy to say that you've been to the East Village, but you never get the opportunity to just pop in to some of these places, have a quick bite and split! Thoroughly enjoyed the FLAVORS OF NY TOUR with the beautiful 'Clarisse' .. .. We were even a few minutes late because the 'E' wasn't running and Clarisse tried to get a hold of us just as we met up with the group! We got to meander around the vibrant East Village popping in to try a few deserts, a great slice of NY pizza pie, a cup of cold cucumber soup and even a papaya dog =))) .. .. The weather was perfect as was the tour - Even my 85YO mama loved it and covered just enough ground for all of us .. .. She even wanted to backtrack to the places we visited to eat more and buy more food! THANKS CITY FOOD TOURS!! ps > I loved the food selection of the tour, but I noticed a lot of these tours include an awful lot of deserts - Is it just me? For myself I would have loved more 'food' and just a bit less 'desert' .. .. But that's just me .. .. Thanks Again .. .. | ||||||
