Everything was good except that horrible cold soup they gave us. It was so bad I hated it so they gave me chicken noodle. They should just let the customers pick which soup they would like to eat. The other people I was with in my group did not like it either.

There's nothing culturally Jewish about this tour

The Jews first settled on the lower east side, and we expected the tour to reflect its rich cultural heritage. Our guide was ignorant about Jewish history and the history of the area. She kept repeating that the Jews were persecuted for being Jewish. Profound, I know. She basically took us from one ethnic restaurant to another--Greek, Italian etc...with virtually no explanation of the surrounding environs. For great food tours, use Foods of New York, which is infinitely superior.

My friend and I were in a group of 12. Everyone was friendly and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. He even walked us back to the subway after the tour.

Intellectually delicious

Dan, our tour guide, is a wealth of local historical and appetizing information. As a non-native of NYC, we appreciated the historical information of the local area. There was no question Dan couldn't answer. He was absolutely amazing. The food was out-of-this-world delicious. We went to places where, as tourists, we wouldn't have gone to due to our ignorance of the area. This tour is worth every minute and every penny. I highly recommend this to anybody and everybody, both of local and far, that appreciates food and a nice stroll along historical streets.

Tasty Sampling of Various Ethic Foods

A nice mix of a varied taste of foods, from shops/purveyors within a few city blocks. From gourmet donuts, pickles, and spanikotas to name a few. Highly recommend this tour

The guide was fantastic-she is obviously enthusiastic about what she does and did a great job conducting the tour and answering all of our questions. I brought my sister on the tour as a birthday gift, and we were not disapppointed. The pace and length of the tour is just right, and the price is reasonable for what is provided. The diversity of the tour and the food was wonderful. Logistics were easy. I am already recommending the tour to others!! I was in the restroom when they handed out the discount ticket toward another tour. Is it possible to get one? Thanks, and keep up the great work!!

A New Yorker's View Of A New York Tour

Recently, my wife and I, both native born and raised New Yorkers (who believe The World stops at the east bank of the Hudson River), took your lower east side tour. Not only did we go to some interesting and unique places that not even we knew, but our guide did an outstanding job of weaving local history, ethnic food history, and current neighborhood events into the tour. All and all an enjoyable and informative adventure in one of the more interesting parts of The Greatest City In The World And The Center Of The Universe.

This was my first time in NYC and the tour was a great way to see a portion of the city, understand its history and check out some food related sites. Nicole was an excellent tour guide!! She was very personable, energetic, and relatable! My partner and I really, really enjoyed it!!

For a food tour, it was great to have a tour guide with a culinary background and knowledgable about the area culture and food history!

A Fun Time

The tour was really quite a lot of fun. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable and read the group very well. It was a smallish group (5) and mostly local, so there wasn't a whole lot of need to explain NYC or the neighborhood and we just got right to the food. I'd definitely recommend this tour to both visitors new to New York or locals looking for a fresh perspective on a section of the city.

Great way to see the TRUE NYC.

First of all, awesome tour guides. Our guide was not only informative, she was very friendly, and not the "I want your money" friendly. She had an understanding of the locales we visited as well as the city in general. The locations visited were fantastic! Going to locations that were featured in the show was really cool, and tasting what the chefs tasted really brought it close. Along the way to "scheduled" stops, there are many detours to take. I suggest to any who do these tours to take some extra cash and to just buy some of the snack you see in other stores. Its a great way to try out NYC. Over all, AWESOME. I am telling all my friends and family about this tour. Great Job guys! Kevin and Stef from Cali.

Had a great time. Our tour guide was very personable and very knowledgeable. Lots of food to try. Thought it was odd getting a NYC bagel at a Ukrainian restaurant. Thought it would have been better to have a pierogie instead. Small suggestion - but would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was fun. It offered several insider tips about the show and getting to meet one of the stars at her restaurant was the highlight!
