City Scoots Segway Tours and Marketing was founded by two friends, David & Gershon. Between Gershon's passion for history, David's interest in technology, and a shared drive to mix business with pleasure, offering historic Segway tours just seemed like the perfect fit. Add in the creativity of our wives and we have the recipe for success.
David and Gershon, often referred to as the odd-couple, are as different as night and day. We understand that each guest has individual needs, and we make sure to tailor each Glide to you. Whether you are a tourist that wants to learn more about the city, a couple on a romantic outing, just friends out for a Segway thrill ride, or anyone else, our goal is to make you happy.

Activity Description
Feel the wind blow through your hair as you effortlessly glide through history on our Historic Frederick Glides. Descend along the same paths once traveled by Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, and countless other historical figures that formed our nation into what it is today.
Choose our one or two hour tour version.
On both the 1 and 2 hour tours, you'll enjoy Historical Sites and Stories:
- Visit the house where Barbara Fritchie heroically waved an American flag in front of the faces of the invading Confederate Army.
- Learn the legend of John Tyler and his dognapped best friend, “Guess.”
- Along the way, find the beautiful, trick-of-the-eye, murals by local artist William Cochran.
- End your tour by gliding at 8 miles per hour, along Carroll Creek while witnessing the modernized expansion of Historic Frederick.
Our most popular 2 hour tour includes all the above Historical Sites and Stories as well as a One-of-a-kind Scenic Route:
- Feel the wind through your hair as we gently glide through Baker Park at speeds of up to 12.5 miles per hour.
- Experience the true excitement of the Segway, while we ride past a series of beautiful lakes and even glide through a covered “kissing” bridge.
All Glides include a 10-20 minute training session, bottled water, and digital pictures sent to your email.
