The proprietor holds an M.A. in History and teaches in the history department of Xavier University. Her area is U.S. Ethnicity and Culinary History. All guides are licensed by the City of New Orleans.
The company has been covered by numerous newspapers and magazines, including: the Times Picayune, Baton Rouge Advocate, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Beaumont Enterprise, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Charlotte Observer, Wine Buzz, Essence, Southern Living and Cooking Light.
New Orleans Culinary History Tours just celebrated its 5th anniversary and is a member of the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau.

New Orleans Culinary History Tours' Oyster Crawl resurrects an old New Orleans tradition in the heart of the historic French Quarter!
The tour visits some of our most celebrated, historic restaurants while sampling an array of delicious oyster dishes! Learn about the origins of famous oyster dishes like Oysters Rockefeller while visiting New Orleans' oldest restaurant (established in 1840!) where the dish was created.
The samples listed are a general guide, but typically include:
- Oysters on the Half Shell
- Oysters Bienville
- Barbecue Oysters with Blue Cheese
- Chargrilled Oysters
- Oyster Po-Boy
- Oysters Thermidor
- Oysters Rockefeller
