I was not sure what to expect on this tour, but I was not disappointed. My tour guide was very informative and humorous and respectful. I have been to New Orleans many times, but I learned a lot of new things on this tour. The food was good, the history equally so. Went back to some of the restaurants and ate there again! |

This was one of the highlights of our visit to New Orleans, even though it was pouring, and we got drenched! Well worth it. Wonderful food-more than we expected- and great historical information. |

Sally was an excellent tour host. We learned so much about New Orleans history -- food, and in general. We would highly recommend this tour. Although, it was raining throughout the tour, we managed to enjoy many great restaurants and excellent food without getting too wet. Thanks Sally! |

our guide gave us lots of information about the history of new orleans and louisiana, in addition to fun anecdotes about that history. the food was excellent - i ended up returning to three of the stops from the tour for meals and drinks later on in my trip to new orleans. |

Sally provided an interesting history of the areas' local restaurants with some of her personal experiences. The walk through the area was easy for all abilities. I also enjoyed the six tasty food samples that were served at different locations. I was disappointed that very few on the excursion gave a gratuity to the Tour Guide. |

Interesting tour with lots of information about the history of the old restaurants in NOLA. It gives an understanding of the creole and cajun cooking styles with some samples. |

I'm not reviewing the guide because he was enthusiastic and knows his history and food however the food part was unsatisfying. I've done several food tour and this was the only tour that left me very unsatisfied. I was full of hopes and excitement but I felt like the tour didn't deliver. I felt like they skimped out on the food so much!! Dissapointed. You're better off doing your own tour and save yourself $48 |

There are so many tours you can take during your trip to New Orleans, and while I had interest in so many, I knew I'd be able to play to my interests in history, culture and food - and do it in a compact way - so I chose this one and I was right. Over three hours you will visit a handful of 'the' places to check out...without the overeating you might do if you made reservations at all of these places. The guide was knowledgable...and nice...but I think he could have moved things a little faster and covered more ground. I thought we would see more kitchens...we saw none. I thought we would truly be able to see and taste the difference between Cajun and Creole, but that just didn't happen. But overall, it was worth my time...and I would recommend it...as it truly enhanced our trip. |

Our guide was less than happy to be doing the tour. Did not have a badge on - so many of us kept walking around to see if we could find a person with a badge. Later found out it was him.
For the first hour we stood in rooms of buildings.
Finally had a food sample.
Mostly he was trying out a few jokes from his stand up routine.
After the second hour, had sampled the second food.
We then stopped at a cookbook store and at that point, it was better to just walk away than get further disappointed.
Waste of money!

Great time! Relax, grab a drink and take one of the coolest walking tours in NOLA! You not only get to try a little of this and that which makes the cuisine of New Orleans unique, but you get to explore some old homes turned restaurants and hear some great stories! Our tour guide had quite the personality and first hand experience in the food business. We had a great time!! Highly recommend it! |

It was a great tour. Chef George was knowledeable and friendly. We tasted some great food but more importantly we loved the history and getting to see places that we wouldn't have normally got to see. It gave us much more of an appreciation and we made sure to go back and get some of the things we tried on the tour later. |

Our tour leader was knowledgeable and also flexible. When not able to do one part of the tour due to a roon that was occupied, she made arrangements quickly to see something else that was very enjoyable. The food we sampled was generous (more that I expected and delicious). It was a highlight of our visit there. |

This was a fun activity that included lots of history. We really enjoyed all the unknown back rooms and the historic activity that went on within them. The food was great and the dishes were very different from each other. Our tour guide was Sally, and while her knowledge was extensive she lacked the "fun factor". Never-the-less, very much worth the time and expense. |
