Our guide was interesting, professional and a retired attorney. She was great! The food was good and we enjoyed the restaurants we visited. |

Best Tour We've Ever Taken in New Orleans

Our guide, George, was informative and knew the history of the city and its cuisine very well. As a historian I often find myself correcting information provided by tour guides to those in my group, I was not called upon to perform this chore during George's presentation. The tour was well paced and we took ample breaks in the air conditioned restaurants we were touring. The proprietors of the establishments were also equally welcoming and we found that within the next three days we had returned to patronize three of them. I would heartily recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in the history of the city or in food. When we return to New Orleans, we will definitely take this tour again. |

Fun, informative and tasty! Loved the behind the scene tour of Antoine's. Renee even went out of her way to get us back there because there were people in the rooms she wanted to show us on our first visit. It was fun to hear the history behind some of the restaurants and dishes. |

I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than Renee in explaining not only a lot about the history of New Orleans, but how that history influenced the foods we sampled on the tour. Her material was delivered in such an entertaining way that we couldn't help but be captivated--she never lost our interest. And we had so many great "tastes" along the way that we couldn't eat dinner for several hours afterwards! I would heartily recommend this tour to anyone--and have already mentioned it to friends since we returned home earlier this week. I'm not just speaking for myself either--my husband loved the tour too. |

Our culinary tour consisted of sixteen adults and teens from all parts of the US and one fantastic tour guide, Sally. And this was, indeed, a TOUR. Walking past some of the restaurants the previous day, it appeared that there was one dining room but by participating in this culinary tour, Sally took us through all of the beautifully decorated rooms hidden away from the main entrance.
Not only did Sally provide a wealth of information and interesting asides about the restaurants and shops we visited, but she also was exceptionally knowledgeable about New Orleans in general and shared this information with us. The time flew by as we went from one location to another but there was always time to ask questions and enjoy the samples of food the vendors offered. I especially appreciated the restaurant seating that was pre-arranged for the entire group so we could share the experience together and clearly hear Sally. I heartily recommend this tour for adults (including seniors) and teens. |

Tour guide was very interesting and funny. The three hour tour was well coordinated and planned. The tour took us through places that are not available to the public, that was a plus. Only disappointment is that the food tasting was not what I read in previous reviews. Make sure you have a full lunch before going to the culinary tour you will only be served very small samples of the different cajun food. |

The tour guide was a local chef and so very knowledgeable and interesting. We got to go to many restaurants that I would normally not go to because of the price. I highly recommend this tour. |

Team building event - enjoyed the food and the history. We seemed to walk back and forth instead of "building" from one to the next. |

We've been to New Orleans many times, but this was new experience! We didn't expect to learn so much about the history of New Orleans and the groups that contributed to its cuisine, and in such a delightful way. We sampled dishes at Antoine's, Arnaud's, Tujague's, a gelato place, and others. Even better was the "backstage" tour- we even got to see the kitchen at Antoine's! Our guide, Candy, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. |

We had a fun and informative tour. It provided us with some background of New Orleans and its food culture and even included a mini cooking class experience. Learning about the history and behind-the-scenes of various famous restaurants was interesting and also widened our knowledge of New Orleans and its historical and cultural history. All of us would highly recommend this tour, which lasted for over three hours. When we were done, we felt as if we had learned a bit about the French Quarter and the community-at-large. George, our tour guide, was excellent. |

Reservations Process Seriously Needs Updating

Your reservations process seriously needs updating from what I have recently experienced. While reserving online, you have no specific section to state if you have any particular allergies or if you are vegetarian other than in the comment section. Even after spelling out that one of the participants is vegetarian, you failed to arrange to have all restaurants have a vegetarian option. Portion sizes were also quite small compared to other food tours I have been on. The tour guide however was quite knowledgeable of the history. |

Chef George was the best Tour Guide. With his culinary experience, he had a great insight to the restaurants and the history of New Orleans. The tour itself was great. The food was amazing but not too much. We ended up going back to 2 of the restaurants that we toured. Thank you so much! |

Assembled group met at Antoine's (Hermes Bar), led by the wonderful Renee. She was full of stories, history-with-a-twist, sense of fun. Easy walking (rain or shine), plenty of chances to sit, ask questions, enjoy. Obvious our guide was well respected and liked by restaurant and shop folks. Food samples as described elsewhere--just right, nicely done. Love that Shrimp Arnaud! And do opt for Antoine's Sazarac, showtime included! So glad we chose this delightful afternoon. Recommend wholeheartedly! |

This was THE highlight of our vacation! The food samples were excellent and gave us a great introduction to the different food specialties. We went back after the tour to eat the panini muffuletta ! It was so good. The restaurants have a lot of history and it was fascinating to see the maze of rooms within the restaurants. Highly recommended tour. |
