The best tour in New Orleans!!

| My husband, sister and myself fully enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Randy was very knowledgeable of the various cuisines in New Orleans and highly entertaining! The food was so delicious, that we found ourselves drawn back to the restaurants and shops that we visited during the tour, to grab another snack while we were out and about during our excursions through the city. To our delight, many of these establishments offered shipping services as well, which made it easier to make purchases and not have to worry about getting it on the plane. Though we participated in a few of the other tours offered within New Orleans, none could compare to this one!! This culinary tour should be the first tour you consider when making your plans to visit New Orleans. You will not be disappointed! I wish we could have just put Randy in our pocket and had him as our personal guide the whole time we were there, he is so much fun to be around, and we will miss him as much as we miss New Orleans! | Randy was an excellent tour guide. Since he is a historian, his facts on the history of New Orleans were true. We took a carriage ride and, although the driver of the carriage was funny and entertaining, some of his facts about New Orleans were not correct. We so appreciated the restaurants and shops that accommodated our tasting tour. It was great to get a "taste of New Orleans" and get a mini cooking lesson on how to make roux. Thank you so much, I would recommend this to everyone I know visiting New Orleans. D.Pletka, Rockwall, TX. P.S. You might consider requiring your carriage drivers and other tour guides to pass a history lesson on New Orleans. | ||||||

| I have lived in the area for 9 years. But, in the three hours of the tour,I learned more about the French Quarter from Randy, than I had learned in my previous 9 years. Anyone who finds History interesting will enjoy this. | ||||||

| My husband and I took the tour and we appreciated the suggestions, such as stop by Antoines for Oysters Rockafeller mid afternoon or for happy hour if you're really not wanting the whole elaborate fine dining experiece there but still want to try the oysters. Again, where to get a warm Muffaletta was a good tip and which establishment burned the sugar cube when concocting the absinthe drink. Never having been to New Orleans before we were interested to hear how few jazz musicians there were compared to pre-Katrina. As a result , to show our support we sought out clubs where jazz was still played and gave tips to jazz street musicians. Because we tasted the extraordinary rum cake on the tour we purchased four as gifts and had them shipped home. I plan to order a few items from one of the stores on line. In brief, the tour was interesting, entertaining, tasty and full of good, practical suggestions. | ||||||

| 1.) At three hours...it's 45 minutes too long. They should eliminate two of the stops; shortening the afternoon would make it more enjoyable. 2.) We went during Mardi Gras and could not get into two of our locations. Our tour guide explained it by saying, "That's Mardi Gras." Unacceptable -- we paid full price, we expected full access. 3.) Randy (our tour guide), went overboard in chasing away passers-by who stood on the fringe of our group and eavesdropped. His sarcastic comments detracted from the fun of the event. Generally an interesting event, but could use the above-referenced changes. | ||||||

| My girlfiend and I went on the tour in the middle of Mardi Gras. Even with the crazy amount of people and conjestion we swiftly moved around the French Quarter with a very knowledgable and amusing tour guide, Randy. He was extremely informed on not only the food, but the city and it's culture as well. As a working chef in my hometown I have to say that all of the restraunts provided us with a very good taste of what makes the city special. The only thing that seemed a little out of place was the gelato at the end of the tour. I would highly reccomend this tour to anyone, preferably a Saturday or monday, as those are the days Randy guides. | ||||||

| Had already been on a Greenwich Village and Chicago food tour which were both fantastic. This tour was not up to par...no handout with intinerary for tour, names of restaurants, addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses so little hope of us returning to them. No bottled water distributed at beginning of tour. The french quarter was extremely busy, loud and noisy with pre-Mardi Gras activities...made it dificult to stay with the guide and to hear and see what was going on. Stopped at a couple of places for a little spiel, went into their patio area, but no samples. The samples that we did receive were delicious and there was a nice variety. Not enough restroom breaks, lost a couple of our group a couple of times, lack of interest and enthusiasm on part of guide. There were 14 people in our group. Thankfully, the rest of the group had never been on a food tour so they had nothing to compare it to. I, however was a bit disappointed. | ||||||

| I've been visiting the French Quarter for the past nine years and this culinary tour showed me all the restaurants that I've been missing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the tastings at all of the varied venues were delicious! I would recommend this tour to any one that visits New Orleans. | ||||||

| The Culinary Tour was full of stories about food, resturants, and people. The resturarants were great, full of history, food samples, and stories of New Orleans. Such fun. After the tour I felt that I knew the city a bit, we had just arrived the day before so this was a great orientation. Loved the tour. | ||||||
