| Culinary history was very sufficiently covered. Nice variety of stops, local food. Enjoyed tour of Antoine's. Actually enjoyed the entire 3 hours. Downside was the rain but there were enough stops to get out of it. Well done. | ||||||

| LOTS of history...food was great although I was with a group of teenagers and THEY felt that the food was great...but wanted more of it! (Typical teenaged response...) My only criticism...eat a small something BEFORE you start the tour...as the portions are small and the walk was generating a LOT of appetite! | ||||||

| The culinary history and tasting tour was unbelievable! Much better than I expected. We got a very detailed history of the French Quarter and the different kinds of foods from our tour guide. The guide was friendly, energetic and very well prepared. When I come back to New Orleans, I plan to do the history and tasting tour again. I recommend it to everyone...individuals, couples, families (young and old). Simply outstanding! | ||||||

| The tour was very informative and went to a lot of great places. But I was hoping to get to taste something at each location (I love to eat!!) and sometimes we just looked at the restaurants, etc. Very enjoyable! | ||||||

| We really enjoyed our walking tour. All the food we had was delicious. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about New Orleans cuisine and New Orleans in general. The only drawback was that it was hotter than Hades out and on a few of the stops we had to eat outside because things were too crowded inside. However, that did not stop us from enjoying the great food. Thanks for a memorable time. | ||||||

| The food was delicious and varied and the sites were fascinating. We went places "backstage" we could not have gone otherwise, and the historical explanations gave us a sense of moving back into the past. The pacing was skilled, with just enough time to sit down--in pretty courtyards and cafes--and to move through interesting streets and mark other sites to find later. We both recommend it enthusiastically! | ||||||

| If you don't do anything else when you go to New Orleans, you need to take this tour. My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend in New Orleans and found this tour surfing the web. We had no idea it was going to be as educational as it was. We got to sample some great food and learned a lot of history that we otherwise would not have known. It was worth every cent and it helped us learn our way around New Orleans. It was a beautiful day, but quite warm, so I do recommend taking a bottle of water with you and wear comfortable shoes. We told some of our friends who live in New Orleans, because they didn't know about the tour. They're going to take it. Albert was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about the city's history and the food. He did a great job! | ||||||

| My friend and I enjoyed the history of various local dishes as well as brief tours of select restaurants. The tour guide was knowledgeable and provided insights concerning local eating establishments and their signature dishes. The one negative was the difficulty of sampling dishes while standing on the sidewalk near a couple of the restaurants. We assumed that sampling would be done indoors, but do realize that space was limited due to the size of the restaurant as well as the size of the group. That being said, I would still recommend the tour to anyone interested in the history of Southern cuisine and sampling local dishes. | ||||||

| Kelly gave the tour and provided background for the restaurants. We had a chance to taste the food and drinks from some famous French Quarter restaurant kitchens. The history was a good description. We took a good look at Petunia's, Napoleon House, Tujacque's, New Orleans Cooking School, and especially Antoine's. There were other restaurants and the Herman-Grimm house courtyard. Some restaurants were described from outside without an inside tour like K-Paul's Louisiana kitchen. The tour sparked a lot of interest for us in appreciation of some of the restaurants where we had already dined and others that we would now like to try. The history of the cuisine was very interesting. The samples were all enjoyable and in fact we had skipped lunch but did not miss it. Areas where there might have been improvement were that we had come on time (15 minutes prior to tour) from a lengthy cab ride and we didn't get a chance to use a restroom before we started the walking tour. Our group was small at seven but the guide said the tour often has larger groups up to 16 or so. Sometimes street noise made hearing difficult and this would be a problem in the larger groups. Note the tour is definitely a walking tour. We were on our feet most of the time and often tasted the food while standing. The other people in the tour group seemed as pleased as we were. Anyone who is up to the walking would probably enjoy the tour. Planning the tour for one's first day in the quarter would help with planning your dining while there. | ||||||

| A lot of interesting information, and a friendly, fun tour guide. Not a lot of tasting until late in the tour, so don't start the tour hungry. I enjoyed, but wished to see more of the older restaurant's kitchens. Although I loved the tastings at Leah's Praline Shop, this is not really what I was interested in for this tour. I didn't care for the stop at the pastry shop, again, not what I was expecting. The Tajuague's visit was very in-line with what I was expecting (brisket and a sazerac). I also enjoyed the Napolean House stop and the mini muffeletta-yum. A stop at Cafe DuMonde would be nice to add. | ||||||
