Locals Enjoy Tour Too
Sat, Apr 30, 11   2:00 PM CHERT36 Female 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
We (locals) enjoyed the culinary tour too because it offered us the oppotunity to view different dining rooms of restaurants that we normally would not be able to view. The tour was very informative and we enjoyed tasting food from different restaurants. Please keep in mind that you should eat a light meal before coming on the tour -- you receive only a "tasting" of a dish from each restaurant. Our tour guide was funny and we learned a lot about the different restaurants even though we were locals. It was fun and we recommend this tour to others.

My husband and I thought we would see the kitchens at all the places we stopped. We saw one kitchen. Our tour group was three people. We did see private rooms in restaurants that only locals would probably see. Just not a WOW thing for the price and three hours of walking.

I am a local and loved the tour. It was informative, the guide was knowledgeable, the food was delicious. I only wish we could have tasted a few more items at antoines and brennans, that would have completed a great tour. Thanks

This is a must for anyone interested in food. Our tour guide, George, provided valuable information about how the history of the city relates to food. Meeting chefs, seeing different locations, and tasting the food was an experience we will never forget.

We found the tour to be extremely informative and enjoyable. It really gave us a basis for understanding New Orleans cuisine and how it has evolved. A must for any foodie visiting the city. There is a lot of eating, so come hungry.

If you are interested in local history, restaurants or food don't miss this tour! Our guide was excellent! We toured many local restaurants and had tastings at many of them. It was great to try different food and compare them to places we had been and places we would go and to hear all about the local area. I found the tour trolling the Internet and so happy I did. This was one of the highlights of our visit to New Orleans and I would definately recommend this to anyone that visits New Orleans has is intersted in food, history or restaurants. This tour is not to be missed!
