I enjoyed the walk through town with the chance to view private areas in each restaurant not known about and not many have access to. I enjoyed the food samples and suggestion on where to find what I was looking for. There are so many options to eat and purchase things to take home and try later to impress friends but it is hard to know where the really authentic good food is. They all make the same claim. This will help to narrow down the search if you have limited time to visit as I did with only and weekend to squeeze everything in.
The only thing I would have love would be in the tour included beverage samples as well. I learned of the book with history of the place various cocktails were invented and meant to make time to go and try a few but just ran out of time arriving Friday and leaving Sunday. I would have been willing to pay more if the tour would have included this. |

We learned alot of history and ate alot of food, you may want to skip lunch before hand. Our guide, George, was funny, down to earth and a professional chef, so the tour was from a chef's point of view. We enjoyed this much more than the Crescent City Nights from Grey Line, which we were very disappointed in. Make sure you bring a bottle of water! |

You will buy a 3-hour tour, and will spend 2 hours & 50 minutes listening to the guide fill the time with ridiculous and uninformative information. You'll get 10 minutes TOPS of eating time, and it will be paltry bits of food (2 oz of gumbo in a paper cup eaten on the sidewalk outside a restaurant, or a crumb of praline passed on a plate, etc et c.) Meanwhile, most of the tour overhyped as "behind the scenes" is concentrated in Antoine's 14 (yes, 14) dining rooms where the guide feels compelled to spend 5 - 10 minutes PER ROOM!
Yes, I'm not exagerrating. If you're not in Antoines, you're on the street squeezed up against the wall as cars, trucks, and people move by. TRUST ME ON THIS: Take your money, find a good restaurant, and spend 3 hours eating, drinking and soaking up true New Orleans hospitality. This could have been a fabulous tour, |

Being a native of Louisiana, but not a frequent visitor New Orleans, this was a great tour. My fiancee (who's never been to La. before) and I learned so much about the city, it's very unique culinary and extended history, and the French Quarters specifically. Besides the very tasty food and welcoming demeanor of the restuarant owners and staff, the best aspect of this tour was our guide Randy. He was absolutely the best! Without a doubt I would recommend this tour to anyone, even those who may be native to the city; moreover, I would highly encourage them to see if they too can be guided by Randy! |

I was in NOLA for work and had one free afternoon; so I thought I'd try this tour. I was so happy I did so! Our tour guide, Renee, was great. Knowledgable, fun, kept us on the right pace. I learned a great deal more about the French Quarter than I otherwise would have. This may not be as commerically interesting as the cemetary tours or bar tours, but if you are a foodie (as I am), this is a good fit. I'd recommend this to individuals who like to learn about local history and food history and who enjoy tasting a few samples. We had 6 people to our group, which also made for a great size. Not too big at all. |

My husband and I took this tour the first day of our vacation. It set the mood for the weekend perfectly. Our tour guide was an ocean of knowledge and very engaging. The food was awesome and they were generous with the variety and amounts given. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn about the history of New Orleans while enjoying delicious food!!! |

New Orleans has great history and great food. This was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and even though this was our fourth trip to New Orleans, we learned a lot. I'd recommend this tour to anyone, as long as you're comfortable walking and standing! |
