| I'm a man of few words so my review will be brief. The tour was enjoyable, pleasant, and especially rich in flavor. My wife and I had a great time and learned a lot from the cuisine of New Orleans (NO). The tuorguide was a former chef that to some extent provided information on how the history of the place, the immigrants and the local species affected the kitchen of NO. The amount of food tasted was a bit small, however you get the idea of some of the typical food of NO. We didn't taste Jambalaya or the famous Po'Boys but we did taste almost all the rest.
As a conclusion, I will tell you that if you are going to be less than 3 days take the tour in one of the first days so you know what are the regional food and the places you may want to go. If not, you will realize where and what yo eat just by walking and looking where the line of people is. |

| Randy did a great job bringing the history and culture of the city alive. It was fun to learn more about some of the great restaurants in New Orleans. We felt very informed when we ate at some of these locations later. |

| We went to two culinary events while in New Orleans, loved both of them, but this one was the most enjoyable. Of all the things we did while there, this is the one we'll be raving about to our friends.
Randy was our tour guide and we thought he was terrific. His enthusiasm for what he does is infectious and we know we loved the tour a great deal due to his knowledge and willingness to share.
We'd do it again our next visit, that is how good it is.
As to whether there was enough to eat (it IS a sampling tour), at the end, we were very satisfied!! |

| Just came back from New Orleans and this is definitely in my top list of tours! Randy was the best guide...you can tell he really knows his stuff and is passionate about the food and history of new orleans. The samples were great and well spaced out...not enough to consider a meal but perfect for me. I highly recommend it to all food lovers!! |

| Interesting history and culture information as well as some great food insights. Nice to see behind the scenes at a couple of restaurants. Take the tour early in the trip ... that way it provides some ideas for your future meals. |

| It was a privilege to visit the kitchens and to sample from some of the best and famous restaurants in New Orleans (Antoine's, Brennan's, Napoleon House)
The tour guide was a chef by profession and has worked in some of these kitchens.
He had good knowledge of the food itself (preparation) and the food history.
The restaurant operators were very generous to allow tourists into their midst.
The lady in the courtyard with the red beans and rice was the best hostess! |

| If you are a tourist to New Orleans and would like an overview of what is offered in the French Quarter, this tour should do the job for you. If you are expecting to spend a lot of time in some kitchens and/or looking for in-depth analysis of New Orleans cuisine, this tour will be a disappointment. I am a native, and found the tour guide lacking in local knowledge a bit - he was good, but not great. My wife, who is not a native, gave him and the tour higher marks. |

| Our tour guide , Randy, was awesome! He took us to approx 5- 6 places. There were so many great places it is difficult to remember them all. We have been to NOLA before - but got the inside"scoop" on many places we had previously been to. We came to learn , Naploeon's muffalettas, are the best in NOLA! We continued to go back and look in the unbelievable wine cellar (on the street) @ Brennan's or was it Antoine's ( hehehe)
Randy , not only gave us history of places/restaurants we visited - he stopped an pointed out many areas of interest along our stroll. He was great! We so enjoyed seeing and 'smelling" the Roux being made in front of our eyes/noses. The Red Beans & Rice was fabulous. My husband is a bit of a "foodie' and enjoys cooking. We thouroughly enjoyed all aspects of this tour and would recommend it to any/all.....providing Randy is leading the tour! |

| We arrived in town the day before and this was the first of many events we had planned and this tour filled in the rest of our visit. Randy was great, showed us some great spots and gave us some valuable info in finding the best places to eat in New Orleans.
I highly recommned taking this tour early in your vacation to New Orleans, if you don't, you'll have to extend your stay to visit all the great places you learn about. |
