French Quarter Culinary History and Tasting Tour

Perfect combination of food and history. Guide was wonderful! Loved her. She went above and beyond!

As first-timers to New Orleans, this tour provided not only insight into the food the city is known for, but also a history of the city. Our tour guide, Leah, did a great job of answering our questions and was very knowledgable, having grown up in the city. We loved it and would definitely recommend it to others!!

This was a wonderful tour, I got what I loved which is history, buildings and clothes. My husband got what he loved, food of New Orleans, spices and bars. You felt like you where one of the residents who lived in the neighborhood. All the restaurants where fabulous, got to try different foods from gumbo to pralines. Everyone was very gracious and kind, I will do this again and highly recommend it. Our guide Kandy has lived in the city her entire life and her neighbors said hello on every street. We went back to the restaurants(Antoine's, Arnauds,Desire and Leah's sweets) I will do this again.

I loved getting to sample all the different foods - from restaurants I might not wander into off the street and items I might not order. Everything we were offered was delicious and I learned how much I enjoy Creole food. I thought the tour guide herself was not the best. She was quieter and offered information as if we already had a lot of background. Despite that I would still recommend the activity just because it is so different.

The guide was knowledgeable and the food was great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We went expecting just to go to different restaurants and sample food from each, but we got so much more! We learned a LOT about the history of New Orleans and got to see the side that tourists never get to see. There are hidden ballrooms, museums, and elegant establishments in the French Quarter that would blow you away. We even got to see (and touch) and original Picasso! The tour is of places that are authentic New Orleans and with tastes that cannot be beat! Chef is a wonderful tour guide! I definitely will take the tour again and have recommended it to my family and friends.

Enjoyable, delicious, informative afternoon. It was nice to visit the various restaurants and learn about their history. Lots of food to eat, go hungry.

We had an excellent guide (Leah). Had tastings at Antoine's, Arnaud's, and other great local spots. The background histories of Antoine's and Arnaud's was really interesting with access to areas of both restaurants that an average tourist might not get to experience. Would definitely recommend this tour.
