A real taste of NOLA - pun intended! You don't have to be all about food to enjoy this tour. Lots of fascinating historic info. You also get to see some great art on the tour. The food is great. The stories about the food you get to try are really stories of people and the place. Our guide (George) was very informed and a great storyteller. We'd do it again.

Group of 4, late 20s-early 30s, foodies. We really enjoyed the tour which gave us new ideas of where to eat and drink. Informative guide, although not that personable. The tour of Antoine's is what really makes it great. The tastings are yummy and surprisingly generous in size.

George was very knowledgeable, not just about the food but the history of the city, so it was a two-for-one deal! We were a little worried because we wanted to do the tour at the beginning of our trip and it was sold out. But we still got to try new things that we hadn't yet experienced. We much appreciated that George didn't sell himself by requesting tips (as our other tour guides had done), so I'm doing it for him!

Horrible tour guide, great food, overpriced

The concept is great, and the samples were wonderful. The tour guide meant well, so I honestly feel bad saying this, but I would not recommend this tour. She was hard to follow, her stories were incomplete, and she had no presence at all. I would have left the tour early if I didn't know that there would be more food samples, which were good. The samples were tasty and generous, the actual presentation just needs to be completely reworked.

Our tour guide was very courteous and knowledge. I have been to New Orleans about 10 times and this was truly a special tour. It really gave me a true "flavor" of the French Quarter and its cuisine. The places for our tastings were wonderful - some I have been to but others I hadn't and will now definitely make them a place to go and recommend. All in all a wonderful afternoon.

This is a must for anyone interested in food. Our tour guide, George, provided valuable information about how the history of the city relates to food. Meeting chefs, seeing different locations, and tasting the food was an experience we will never forget.

Randy was a great tour guide . Very knowledgeable about not only the culinary history but the history of New Orleans as well. Very enthusiastic. I would recommend this tour to anyone, even if they are not interested in food or cooking. Lot of good samples along the way.

This tour is an interesting way to learn more about the established restaurants in the French Quarter in New Orleans. You have a chance to enter some restaurants to look around and a chance to sample food at others. It was enjoyable experience and our guide was very knowledgeable. As always, when talking to a group of people outside, particularly in the middle of the French Quarter festival, it's sometimes difficult to hear. As much information should be shared inside buildings, as possible.

Ellen is an excellent historian who provided interesting stories as we walked throughout the French Quarter. The food we tasted was excellent and all the restaurant staff we met were extrememly friendly. Highly recommended!
