An enlightening and entertaining experience.

I really enjoyed the tour, which provided as much of a sampling of history of the area as it did the local cuisine. Kelly was a great quide and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys trying new foods and learning origins of a cuisine.

Great fun! A sample from Antoine's would have made it perfect!

Kelly was knowledgeable and communicated well.

Our tour was on time, well planned, covered several important facits of N.O. food, though certainly not all, and the tour of Antoine's was worth the time all by itself. Enjoyed the cooking school and the random pieces of information about N.O. history and the issues since Katrina. Good tour! Would heartily recommend it to others.

Kelly was engaging and very knowledgeable about New Orleans history and its cuisine. The many samples were varied and small enough that it didn't spoil lunch or dinner--important, since I wanted to sample the city's fine restaurants! And the places we visited were ready for us; it all went very smoothly and pleasantly. Highlights were going behind the scenes at Antoine's and discovering the Napoleon house, which had looked too scuzzy to go into but turned out to be so cool. I also appreciated that the tour went on even though there were only two of us. Well done and thanks!!!

Do this tour as soon as you arrive!

Even if you've been to New Orleans many times, this tour is informative, fun, and tasty. It's also a great value. The culinary history alone makes this highly recommended, but the chance to go behnd the scenes at various restaurants and bars makes it extra special. And I can't forget the many food tastings of New Orleans classics (gumbo, muffaletta, praline, even a Sazerac cocktail). Do this tour early on your visit so you'll know where the good places are, and have a deeper appreciation of the food you'll be enjoying.

I'm so happy to be able to recommend this tour as a great way to get acquainted with New Orleans culture and food. Even though our tour began with a tremendous downpour and thunderstorm, it was worth the soggy shoes. A very good value and worth every minute.

Great information and super enthusiastic personality. Even the rain didn't dampen the tour.

Our overall favorite of the Trip!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the area and its influence on the foods of the area. We enjoyed so many different types of food, we were full and didn't need dinner that night. When we discussed what we enjoyed the most about our 4 days in New Orleans, we all agreed that this 3 hour tour on a very hot afternoon in July was by far the best thing that we had done. It was a great way to get a taste of the French Quarter! Suggestion To the Guide: We would have loved a printed sheet of where we went and what we ate at each place to take home with us.

A friend and I went on the walking tour with Kelly on Friday. We had a great time! Kelly (our guide) is a New Orleans local and history buff who seems to know everyone in the restaurant business! I thoroughly enjoyed each tasting. If you would like to "get to know" New Orleans cooking, you need to take this tour. You will also learn other neat facts about the city.

I had a wonderful time learning about the rich and varied history of food in NO. Our guide was very knowledgable and the foods were delicious! As an added bonus we met owners and chefs of many of the restaurants we visited. Will do this tour again if ever back in NO!
