The Capitol Hill Food tour was more enjoyable than we expected. The food was fantastic! Two restaurants really stood out and we plan to visit them again to experience more items from their menus. We definitely will take another food tour and hope to have another great experience. Our tour guide Sharon was very knowledgeable and made everything about the walking tour a pleasure. |

My husband and I were lucky enough to enjoy a private tour on a wintery afternoon. Sarah, our guide, couldn't have been sweeter, and was happy to take the two of us all over Capitol Hill. Our tour of the fascinating neighborhood was fact-filled and fun, but very informal, just like travelling around with a good friend. The restaurants were welcoming and all of the food was delicious--my favorite was the Mulligitawney soup. The stops were well-timed and a good opportunity to warm up and rest our tired feet. We had more than enough to eat and drink and skipped dinner that evening. It was a great way to see a part of DC that was new to us and to appreciate the unique architecture and culture of Capitol Hill. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves food and who would like to see DC "off the beaten path". Hope to take the Alexandria tour sometime in the future. |

This was a great way to experience Capitol Hill. Not only did we get an interesting tour that featured things we never would have otherwise seen, we got to sample unique ethnic foods. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and friendly, and she perfectly complemented the history with the food. I recommend taking the tour when the temperature is comfortable to spend time outside, but overall, this was a great experience that I recommend to locals as well as tourists who want to experience the local flavor of particular neighborhoods. |

We throughly enjoyed this tour and Christian our guide. We saw some historical sites we would have never seen. The restarants we great and very accomidating. The variety of food was wonderful. I would suggest that maybe you have two prices so that a alcholic drink could be purchased or at least offered. I knew we would do some walking but didn't realize it was an all walking tour. One person in our party struggled with that. Christian was great though and would always wait till she caught up before telling us things!! I would highly recommend this tour and if we come back we are going to do another location!!!You get 5 stars from me!!!!! |

We had a great time on our Capitol Hill dining tour. I went with my son, a pretty mature 13-year old, and we had a great time visiting with the others on the tour (two couples, very friendly) and the guides. We had good food -- my son loved the yucca, and I tried ceviche for the first time (loved it!) and we both loved the North Carolina barbeque -- soul food "prepared with love" by Johnny. The tour/walk around the neighborhood was informative but relaxed, and the entire tour/food combination was a good value. I imagine that the relative enjoyment of the tour depends somewhat on the friendliness and sociability of the others on the tour, and we had a great group. I highly recommend. |

The tour was good. The guide very informative. The food was good. The only thing that was disappointing for our group was the actual location. I didn't mind but my friends thought that the tour was going to be nearer the actual capitol. Other than that all was good. |

This was our second food tour for the week. We had earlier tried the Eastern Market food tour, and now wanted to go on a tour that visited several of the local restaurants. This tour was also enjoyable and fun. Our two guides provided a lot of information on local history, architecture, and the neighborhood that we strolled through, so we learned quite a bit while also enjoying sample fare at a few of the local restaurants. Each of the restaurants we visited had great food, and by the time we completed the tour, we had sampled enough different food to more than satisfy our appetites. Personally, I enjoyed the Eastern Market tour more than this one, but my wife enjoyed this Capitol Hill tour more, so obviously each tour appeals to different people. I will say that there is quite a bit of walking involved on the Capitol Hill tour, so plan accordingly. |

My wife and I took the Capitol Hill tour on Mother's Day, joined by our two 20-something kids who live in the DC area. I had lived near the Eastern Market Metro in the 1970's and really enjoyed the historical walking tour provided by Sharon, who told and showed us a lot we didn't know about the neighborhood around 8th St, SE. The ethnic food was wonderful, and enough to leave all of us completely full by the end of the 3.5 hours of walking and eating. We highly recommend this experience for both locals and tourists.. |
