Overall, the food on the tour was great and the guides were very enthusiastic in pointing out sites on the tour.
The Fells Point food tour group met at a run down corner in front of the historic Broadway Market, needing more
renovation. I think the food tour should meet somewhere more appealing and suitable for a first class food tour, which it is. Most of the stops were appealing and the guides did a great job showing us Fells Point. Most of the food was very good, some great. The highlights for us were the tapas restaurant and the Polish restaurant as well as the fried P & J sandwich for dessert at our last stop. |

Our guide AJ was awesome, knowledgeable, and very engaging. It made our trip to Baltimore so much more interesting and we continued to talk about the tour throughout the weekend. |

I figured with the amount of money, that we'd be getting really good food, the best of the local stuff. I know part of the $60/person went to the mediocre history tour which I'm more or less indifferent to. I was there for a "food hop" (as opposed to a bar hop) and to know what's the good stuff to eat in bustling Fells Point. I felt I had to eat the mediocre food given or I would have gotten hungry. We probably spent retail $25/person on food, if that. For example, when we got to dessert, a fried PBJ sandwich which actually tasted quite amazing (best thing on the menu), we were served a quarter sandwich. Really, you have to skimp on portions for something as cheap as PBJ?
Second thing, which I have a HUGE beef about. Previous reviews talked about getting a great crab cake. If there is a food tour in Baltimore, there has to be a crab cake. We got, of all things, a chicken cake. It wasn't the worst thing to eat but how are you going to show off Baltimore food and not have a crab cake? For my trip I didn't plan seafood elsewhere b/c I thought I'd be getting it here. The guide seemed obliged to talk up the food. One course at the tapas restaurant was horrible chick peas, a mushroom dish and a very plain meatball.
If you are a TRUE foodie, I recommend you pull out a smart phone, get on Yelp, walk the area and do your own food tour. It will be cheaper and taste much better. (p.s. afterwards we got a dog from Stuggys - pretty amazing) |

The guide was excellent, and enthusiastic. He was not a historian, as he himself pointed out, but nonetheless he had a good deal of knowledge of the area and culture. We went to some good places that were not super-crowded and I think the selection was good overall. Would recommend, thought you would honestly probably enjoy it more if you were not a local, as it would all be new to you. |

This was a wonderful experience for us. The day of the event we got caught up in heavy parade traffic that significantly delayed us from getting to the meeting location by the start time. I called the office and they were quick to respond by letting the tour guide know about our situation. The guide and a few others waited almost an extra hour for us to get there to start the tour. Others were delayed, too, but it meant so much to us that they actually waited, talked, and got to know each other. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was amazing and in good spirits the entire time. We'll be doing this again. |

The Fells Point Food Tour was a great time! Nicely paced with great food and history. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and so were the two trainees that were shadowing the tour. The only disappointment was having a tour of Baltimore without trying the crab cakes at any of the stops. Other than that, a great experience! |

My wife and I really enjoyed the tour - our second one in Baltimore in a month (the other was Jonestown/Little Italy, which we thoroughly enjoyed). Our guide, Jen, was fun and knowledgable and the group bonded quickly over a nice variety of venues, food, and drink. Great way to get to know an area, sample different restaurants, learn some history, and make new friends. |
