Has potential

I was very excited about this tour because I love history and food, but found it to be underwhelming. Our tour guide was nice, but did not know much about the history. In addition, the first place we stopped at was not expecting us so we missed out on one of our courses. I still have hope and see lots of potential in the tours so maybe after they have been running for a bit longer they will improve.

Good food and much more

This is a great way to tour Fells Point. You will visit several establishments, talk to some of their owners and managers, and taste some wonderful food and drink. At the same time, the walk takes you through many of the streets of Fells Point and really gives you a good sense of the history and vitality of the place. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to have the menus of each of the visited venues readily available to us whenever possible as we sampled their fare. We came back a few days later and shopped in some of the little "out-of-the-way" places we passed by during the tour (and sampled a little more of the delicious food). Thank you, Sharon, for a wonderful tour!

Entertaining walk for a beautiful afternoon

Small group so the walk went at a fairly good pace. From other reviews, had a feeling that was confirmed on day of that it was primarily an older group. Nonetheless, it was great company and with the gorgeous weather and informative guide, we learned fun and historical facts about Fell's Point. Got to sample some tasty snacks and they were very accommodating with the veggie option though I will say it probably is better to stick with the meat version if you can. Great thing to do for out-of-towners looking for a relaxing, leisurely afternoon!

Great Fun and a Lovely City

My daughter and I really enjoyed this tour. Fells Point area is absolutely charming, quaint, and we really loved it. Our guide, Zak, was very informative and accommodating...felt like we were dining/drinking with a good buddy instead of a stuffy tour guide. Pros: food was very good, esp. the first stop for Italian sausage and a half a Berger cookie (chocolate covered shortbread). Cons: for the most part, small tastings (as compared to Chicago's Bucktown/Wicker Park tour which probably had TOO much food within the first hour). Also, and comparing it again with Chicago foodie tours, would be nice to receive a small handout with the places visited, map, and maybe some future discounts for these restaurants, esp. since some of the visitors were local or staying in town for a few days. All in all, we do recommend this tour while visiting Baltimore.

Our guide was knowledgeable, personable, ehthusiastic and knew how to pace the tour. The breaks seemed to come at just the right time. The people in the restaurants seemed genuinely happy to have us and gave interesting information about their food and restuarant. I will recommend this tour to my friends and will also take out of town relatives and friends on the tour.

Perfect Family Activity

I took my two grown children (in their 20's) along with one's girlfriend on the Tour of Fells Point for belated birthday gifts. Sometimes these gift ideas seem like a great idea, but don't pan out exactly as indended. All four people in our group had a wonderful time. The food was good, especially at the Black Olive which was the hit of the tour. Additionally, the local history was especially interesting. I have worked in Fells Point for over 10 years and found out so much interesting information that I never knew before. I liked the fact that there was a lot of walking included in the tour. It balanced the number of calories consumed! The only thing that I would say was a very slight negative was the subtle pressure to tip the tourguide.

This was my first food tour and I highly recommend it. It was a wonderful combination of learning about the area and its history and tasting the food that can be found there. The tour guide, Mike, was genuinely interested in Fells Point, its culture, history and food. This made the tour even more enjoyable. I will be looking for more food tours in the next city we visit. Thank you very much

What a fun way to spend a few hours. Sharon, our tour guide was a delight. The day I went was rainy but, we just put up our umbrellas and had a nice walk. The food was unique and tasty. The historical information about the area was very interesting. It was quite nice that the owners of several of the restaurants/bars sat with us and gave us personal attention. Sharon gave me a heads up about the evening comedy show at one of the restaurants. I did go there later and really enjoyed the show and some wine with appetizers. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes food, history, good company or walking.
