Gastronomic Georgetown Food Tour

Enjoyed it. Gerat opportunity to visit restaurants "off the beaten path."

I can't say enough about the quality of the food, tour guide, and restaurants on this tour. We were able to sit down at each restaurant and enjoy our food. Some of us een enjoyed wine along the way. i recommend this highly to anyone!

The tour guide - Christian - was excellent. He had a great personality, was very well informed, talkative, and just couldn't be better. The food and restaurants were wonderful - they were always ready for us, and the portions were large. The walk around Georgetown was gorgeous. This is such a fun thing to do when you are by yourself - I was at the end of a conference and wanted to spend time in Georgetown - so it was perfect to join a small group and eat 'dinner' with a group of people. Christian was great at socializing with everyone.

Our Tour Guide Mallory was very informative and personable. She had the knowledge of the area to answer our questions. The three restaurants all had very good food and beverages. Our final stop for coffee and dessert was a pleasant way to end the tour. It is a nice way to learn about an area while enjoying the local cuisine.

Our guide was very knowledegable. I also enjoyed the restaraunts that were chosen for this tour. The ravioli was wonderful at Filomena. I would definately recommend this tour. I am hoping to do it again one of these days.

The tour guide was pleasant and professional, and she knew interesting facts about the neighborhood. The restaurants were great too, except for one. Primo Italiano featured delicious hand-made pasta, Puro Café featured a unique atmosphere and great food as did the seafood restaurant and the coffee place. Dean and Deluca's was woefully unprepared and hastily prepared a cheese and wine pairing. I recommend finding a place other than Dean and Deluca's to take customers. I have already, and will continue to recommend this tour to friends, family, and co-workers.

Tour was too slow moving, did not care for second restaurant at all. It was boring and way too hot.

Our guide Stacy was engaging, inciteful, and allowed us to enjoy Georgetown without being rushed. The food was excellent and had a good variety. Will be highly recommending the tour to others.

The Georgetown food aspect of the tour was better than the Old Town food aspect of that respective tour. The history shared in Georgetown tour however does not and maybe cannot, compare tot that old town Alexandria. Summary: Love food - Georgetown, love history - Old Town! - Both EXCELLENT though!

In comparison to food tours in New York and Seattle, this DC tour was not well run. Tour started a full 20 minutes late and then we walked briskly between eating sites with very little background on Georgetown itself. As we were consistently late to the various establishments, they were not really ready for us. While I would highly recommend the Foods of NY or the Seattle Pike Place tours, I would discourage folks from investing time and money in the DC Georgetown tour.
